Cybertruck is a scam.

Oh and what about the not so early delivery for long term shareholders scam? It’s been almost TWO MONTHS and not a peep! I bet they delete the whole IR department after Martin leaves! Great way to screw the most loyal Tesla fans.
It is a ****ing scam. People have been waiting two weeks to get their stupid pedals screwed in, some people prepaid Tesla $100k+, some people sold their cars. And still, no ETA? No more blind loyalty after this
I have a large assortment of screws or some excellent System three Epoxy...

I wondered that myself. It appears that the cover is just decorative. But it does have the Rubber Traction strips to keep your Foot from sliding off the Pedal if your Shoes are wet or muddy
In theory you shouldn't really need that for a floor mounted gas pedal as opposed to brake / clutch.

My old BMW came with a pedal like like this -- not ruberized at all. Pretty much impossible for your foot to slip off since it's floor mounted and also wedged against the center tunnel.

One CT owner isn't happy. His windshield has numerous circular stress fractures within days of ownership. He thinks the foam in one of the seats wasn't installed properly. The plastic cover on the rear view mirror keeps falling down. One seat and the interior has permanent fingerprint stains from one of the Tesla service center employees. That's a tough pill to swallow!

Holy f***. I declare this man a saint. If that was me, the dark thoughts would be winning.

100k truck looks like a 50k car, build quality of a 20k Chinese car and then the service center keeps breaking it.

I've seen the stretched seat materials on old Teslas. Haven't noticed it on any later models so this appears to be something they "iron out" (no pun intended) as problems come back. Looks like they have some tweaking to do in the design or padding.

Now, that's no excuse, but for $20K more, one can be their seat tester.
