Having people ordering a car more than 3 years in advance is one thing that tells me it will be big.
Only people with vision would do that. Most of the population lacks vision. But after tomorrow, you will need no vision, it's for sale, here's the specs, how it works, etc... go to the website and click on "buy" it's available, but don't wait too long, list is growing fast.

So true, and they we all will get super annoyed and angry by all the false information that will also come out of all this. How dependent we are on oil, and desperate to appease OPEC that the negative adds will be merciless and ever-flowing. This also saddens me!

If I can figure out what time the live event will be, I will be watching on the internet.

That's why we are the front line to combat the false information. The Volt just went through this with terrible ads, Fox News and other sources shouting at the top of there lungs how terrible and wasteful a car it was, and everyone who joined the anti-EV bandwagon. It took Bob Lutz sending his friends on the shows and speaking out vocally that they were doing a disservice to his legacy. Now there are better ads and a lot of the negativity has dwindled with the positive customer reviews. It's going to take time for Tesla to do the same.
And to keep the theme of this thread going.... stiffy.

Yes, I am in Nuremburg. We are 1 hour behind GMT. We should be about 9 hours behind pacific. But we are on Summer time (sort of a daylight savings time). And how does that work out for califormia.

I don't get my Model S until this time next year and even I'm excited about tomorrow. I am really hoping over this weekend we get a lot of pics of the different colors, specifically blue.

I wasn't Bob's actions directly. Word is that GM who's advertising pays in many many of Murdoch's press outlets for all kinds of cars just said,.....enough.
Sadly Tesla does not have this kind of clout. Hopefully there is a Fox consensus that EVs are good for the country and That the S can ride on the Volt's coattails...

Unfortunately the Fox story is more likely to stick to: Tesla received a huge risky loan from Obama, who raised taxes to do it, in return for campaign donations, to execute some giant socialist experiment, when he wasn't even born here, is a Muslim and an extreme radical, who wants to see America fail and is actually related to Satan....Ok, ok, maybe the Satan bit is an exaggeration on my part.

I'm thinking we should all have access to the PDF Model S manual by tomorrow, no? If it's not made public I'm going to email Tesla and ask for it.

I'm not even on the reservation list and I'm excited. Very excited, and I live in SoCal so I'm virtually guaranteed to see one driving on the road at some point in the near future.
Aside from first deliveries, the other thing I keep telling myself is that it's all systems go beyond tomorrow. As in, every week will be more deliveries because production has begun. For some reason that's hard for me to grasp, that this is now all official: The wait is over.
If any of you see a hair-bunned young hippie giving you the thumbs-up on the 405 around mid-day, that's me :biggrin:

And I'm such a nerd--I set a reminder in my phone that went off this morning (me, waking up to alarm: "WTF?" phone display: "Tesla D-Day" me: "ohhhhh, okay then")...yeah, I forgot the alarm would go off at 9 AM the morning before. Whoops.

LOL! I took tomorrow off but not because of this, but I'll probably check in.
My better half walked by earlier when I was catching up on the forum and was like "you're not getting the car for months; you technically haven't bought it yet; why are you on Tesla's site?" I explained this wasn't Tesla's site, that it was a forum about Tesla/Model S/etc., what was going on tomorrow, but also that there's other stuff to read about and discuss, too--Tesla's releasing new info periodically, discussions about what's coming up, etc. I'm not sure I got my point across. ;-)
