Wow that is restraint. My DS basically just politely told me that there's no reason to call in more than once a day to find out what the car's status is. It went "In Production" like yours on Thursday, he said it typically takes 3 days and that they're open weekends working building cars. I hoped it would be done today and I might get it a couple days early, but he said it's still in the first stage which is called Body In White and hasn't made it to the second stage called Trim 1 yet according to the computers, which he said are known to be inaccurate. Sigh, I am counting down like no other.
Just refreshed my myTesla page and it's different than it was last hour when I last refreshed it. It now says "The Tesla Factory is building your Model S."
If you guys think I'm obsessive compulsive I only checked it twice over the weekend. I was pretty proud of myself for the awesome restraint
Good, my page changed from "In production" to "Getting ready for delivery" or something like that. P16215
We don't live relatively far from each other (as compared to California). I will be interested about your details as you progress as mine shouldn't be too much different!
I'm picking the car up on the 30th, so, one week from tomorrow if everything goes as planned.
Called today and the DS gave me a delivery window of 8/8-8/22. Not bad since I changed my color to Blue just 4 days ago. He also told me that it was him, he would be calling 3 times a day. I call every 3 or 4 days.
My MS is listed as in the Factory since Thursday last week so I'm constantly checking, hoping for an early delivery date (currently Aug 3-17 window). Not too optimistic since they have to ship to Vancouver.
I'm an impatient brat.
I've not been assigned a delivery specialist yet: did you get an email or call from someone at Tesla to assign you the poor person who gets our anxious calls? It sounds like many have gotten a DS assigned before the "in the factory" status. Maybe they do it differently for Canadian orders.
Just picked up my MS from the factory today. Yay! The factory tour was just amazing. I highly recommend taking the tour on a weekday while the factory is busy assembling the cars. We saw a lot of white and black MS rolling off the line. We also saw a blue VIN 1645x, and a black 171xx. The cars were not in any particular order. The delivery specialist said that weekends are very busy delivery days...up to 50 per day. We were the only one picking up this afternoon, so we had a nice small group for the tour. The wait was well worth it. Enjoy!
I have now received first contact from my DS. He sent the email asking for all the stuff; driver license, insurance, etc.
Woohoo! Progress.
