Honestly, I didn't think the 6% in range was worth $3,000. My reasoning: if I was driving far enough out from a charger that I am worried about that last 6%, I am driving too far. :/ Did I make the wrong choice?

I made the same decision. Plus the technology in the newer 90kWh pack isn't as "well tested" yet - in my opinion.

I am selling off a 2013 Chevy Volt, 2007 Corvette coupe and 2007 Toyota Tundra. Downsizing to a single car!

My local friend is suggesting I keep a beater for local driving when I don't want to take the Tesla out. Might be convinced since my ragtop is 90% depreciated and running costs are fairly low. Thinking I won't hurry to sell, then maybe put it up as is and see what happens, possibly I could get enough out of it to buy an old used Leaf for misc. local trips.

Welcome to the run to the Refresh my Computer Club. We all have lot's of experience. i purchased my T with stock 19" and later updated to the Tsportline wheels. Your car would look with the black.

I don't recall ever seeing a ETA date on the My Tesla page for mine. One of the final messages was that your car was shipped to its destination (usually your local SC) which means it's just days away from being ready for pickup. Your "Ownership Advisor" or "Delivery Specialist" can give you a pretty good estimate of dates. In my experience it's usually a little faster than what they tell you. Be patient, it's worth the wait!

Vigile, congrats and welcome from a fellow area Cincinnati owner! I'd be happy to chat offline and share my 5 months worth of learning... here's a few quick thoughts...

- You're going to have lots of space in the garage when you thin your fleet. I totally cleared out the Tesla side of our garage and made a 'no-kid stuff' rule for that side. The parking sensors will tell exactly where your ends are and are totally intuitive when pulling in.
- I found significant price and service differences between the Tesla recommended local electrician and the one I used. I highly recommend getting the guy I used give you a quote. I'll send his info in a PM.
- Delivery timing... I confirmed my order in June and my car was ready for delivery in Cincinnati 18 days later. I too was traveling when my car arrived and had to wait to get it.

Thanks kmtl - I'll reply to your PM!

I just got another update - a time frame was listed on the My Tesla page:

Estimated Delivery

November - Early December
This time frame is only an estimate and is subject to change based on current production schedules and option availability. Please expect that this timing will shift to provide the most accurate estimate possible. Your delivery appointment will be confirmed by your Delivery Experience Specialist once your vehicle is fully assembled and en route to the nearest Tesla location for final inspection and preparation.

Well crap! Just a day after having the delivery schedule moved FORWARD I just refreshed and it was moved WAY BACK!!?!
