    New 2021 Model S Unveiled January 27, 2021

Yoke = Falcon wing doors. Hubris returns to Tesla. I wasn't getting another S until they updated the interior...hoping they wouldn't pull something stupid and Musky. Ugh.

    Do Tesla facilities use Powerwall?

We just had an ice storm in my area that took down a lot of trees and power lines. I drove past the Blue Ash Service center/supercharger/showroom yesterday and was surprised to see it in total darkness. The irony of a powerless Tesla facility surrounded by fully charged Tesla's was striking...

Supercharger - Cincinnati, OH (Marburg Ave.)

Duke has their hands full right now trying to recover from an ice storm. They say they are bringing in crews from the Carolinas to get lines back up so I imagine getting the supercharger online might be delayed.

    2 x 19" Michelin Primacy OE tires,

Sorry - life's too busy for me to go shipping free used tires. You understand I'm sure.

    Phone Mounts in the Model 3;

Since it's mounted with command strips I wanted it to be relatively large so there was more surface area available for adhesion. The strips are easily removable and leave no residue or discoloration but very secure. To me it looks better than a big plastic suction cup thingy. I get the...

Model S Tesla floormats, like new

Hmm... the winter mats did not come with hooks...are you referring to the holes in the driver's mat? Strange but they are clearly made to allow hooks but the car did not have them. The holes have ridges around them so water can't get through. Newer versions of the mats don't have these holes...

    Phone Mounts in the Model 3;

I prefer to use my phone for Waze (even thought we finally have a browser for waze-for-tesla!) and the console dock is too far out of the driver's scan. I tried a bunch of suction cup mounts on the back of the screen pod and found them all prone to falling off in high temps and unattractive...

Paint Issues at Delivery - Worth it to Repaint?

I had similar issues at delivery and the fix has been a disaster. Service center and their subcontracted paint shop said three days...took 2.5 weeks and I got the car back completely covered in clearcoat overspray. The windshield looked frosted when the sun hit it, no QC from Service Ctr...

Window Down, I didn't do it

Several times I've inadvertently fat-fingered the pax window button when opening the drivers door to exit. It drops the window just as you describe and takes surprisingly little pressure to do this. I think there are other threads about this.

    2 x 19" Michelin Primacy OE tires,

Perfect for lease returns! 2 OE Michelin Primacy MXM4 19' tires 245/45/19 I replaced my tires early when I realized they would need to be replaced before my lease return (would be close to or below required 4/32") I tossed the rears and kept the fronts just in case. They are currently between 5...

Model S Tesla floormats, like new

Selling my Tesla branded Weather-tech floor mats, front and rear. Used two seasons only. One of the fronts is missing the glued-on 'Tesla' badge. In original packaging. I've replaced my S with a 3 so these are available. $150 Prefer local pick-up. I'm in Cincinnati - near Blue Ash Supercharger.

    Trunk Light DIY Mod

I guess that's a dead link... it was essentially this: AAA powered, led, decent attachment to stick on magnet strip. I placed it just under the package shelf in the S where you couldn't see it but opening the trunk was enough motion to turn it on...

Weathertech mats now available for Model 3

I had WeatherTech mats for our S and wouldn't recommend them. The coverage was great for driver's side, passenger side front of the footwell was far too low - leaving the carpet exposed to shoes and whatever was on them. More importantly, the plastic material was far too hard and slippery...

I can't shift into gear fast enough. Fix it.

Agree this is an annoyance - takes much longer between brake application and changing to D or R than in our S. Another annoyance is all the replies telling the OP that they are wrong about their experience, or that their expectations are too high. Here's my general rule on forum posts: If a...

My solution..$7, out of sight, motion sensitive led strip: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J4EQVPG/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have had this in my S for a few years and it's still on the original batteries - hadn't thought about it for a long time 'til I saw this post.

    Ohio M3 AWD(non-P) Waiting room

While I'm thinking of it...for any who are parking from time to time in Cincinnati, FREE PARKING permits are offered by the city to all-electric vehicles. I registered my S three years ago and the program seem to still be running. You fill out a simple application and make a short appointment...

    Ohio M3 AWD(non-P) Waiting room

Pickup up yesterday. They said they had already delivered a few other Dual Motor 3s. Very pleased with the ride/performance vs a RWD 3 on 19" and continentals that I drove a couple of months ago. Convinced 18" are right for our road conditions.

    AWD delivery thread

Delivered as scheduled yesterday. A few paint fixes need to be scheduled, otherwise pleased with quality. Cincinnati delivery spec was great - no time pressures on our careful inspection. He had also installed out center caps pkg already - the 18' wheels look great with red.

Has ANYONE been able to complete a M3Dual order?

I was able to complete the transaction yesterday morning. The $1000 deposit did show up in the transaction. Now, Tesla, you've got three months to fix the brakes and add a heated steering wheel to sub-zero. Cream leather popping up in time for me to switch would be nice as well while you're...

Oh... And no mention of my $1000 deposit showed up in the pricing when I tried to order. Ffs Tesla!

Has ANYONE been able to complete a M3Dual order?

I think it's by reservation sequence...I have two reservations, the first will let me select dual motors in the configurator but that option is greyed out for the second.

Has ANYONE been able to complete a M3Dual order?

Everyone else is seeing the same message right? "There was an error processing your order. Please try again✕" Also..delivery est is 3-4 months?! My S lease has one month left. grr

Offering slot to my firend, really...

I have two reservations, both available for config. I deferred the first 'till dual motors are out. I have decided that I don't want to buy the second but I have a friend who would like it - this is a legitimate friend and I want no compensation for the deal. Tesla store tells me "absolutely...

Question for car guys/gals, why did you dump your ICE vehicle for a Tesla?

Reasons we decided to get the Tesla: Completely new and unmatched driving experience and performance... Instant sling-shot acceleration + one-pedal driving + low CG/no roll + low noise + safety + tech = an immensely satisfying vehicle. Where else could I get that? Things that I didn't expect...

AutoPilot speed restrictions...what do you think

It's MY car and I am the one who decides what is a safe speed, weather or not I'm using a driver's aid. If I get a ticket for speeding I wouldn't think it was Tesla's responsibility for selling me a car that could exceed the posted limit. The cops don't care if I'm using autopilot or tacc, nor...

AutoPilot speed restrictions...what do you think

Furious over this - paid Telsa extra for this functionality and now it will be essentially non-functional on most of the roads I drive. Safe driving means not driving substantially slower than the traffic flow and now Autopilot will not keep up.

Is direct sale really a better model than dealerships?

This thread brings to mind Louis CK's great riff on cell phones and flying - the guy next to him bitching because the on board wifi is broken while they're 'soaring through the clouds, partaking in the miracle of human flight'. Whatever issues the Tesla store might have I can't imagine the...

    Will you share your Tesla?

I wouldn't share my primary car just like I won't AirBnB my home - the systems that protects my interest would be so restrictive and expensive that it wouldn't pay out. If the payout were there I would consider investing in a dedicated vehicle to put in a system, or an investment in fleet...

    AC Noise - Loud!

Ha! These days that's an obscure reference but it is so true! Back in the day I called the L-1011 'the electric jet' - nothing sounded like it when takeoff power was applied...maybe it was just the AC keeping up. The whole cabin would vibrate...just like my steering column does now! Great...

Announcement of new Model S June 9th

Sure, the D has specific content (parts and software) that does not exist in the rear motor only car...and is more capable because of that content. In that case the value associated with the additional cost is evident. Additionally, the car costs more to produce, so it makes sense that it costs...

Announcement of new Model S June 9th

I agree that it is smart...on balance, but to me the consideration of value is critical. I expect a more expensive product to have more content, not just be more capable.

Announcement of new Model S June 9th

Smart: Lower entry - I admit I only test drove/bought when the 70 came to market and got me thinking - then chose the 85D Convert 3 placeholders to owners - surprised there is no specific buyback option presented to placeholders CPO gold: as mentioned by others, Tesla can take your 60 in...

Model S Update, why not including a digital rear mirror like the CT6 or the Bolt?

It would be nice to have a review unobstructed by the rear headrest and pillars...more importantly, I'd love to have a screen built into the A pillars for 'pass-thru' visibility like Jaguar had on show car lately. Those big pillars are really good at hiding cross traffic.
