First impression of FSD and how TSLA should promote it

I could see that for my dad, who may or may not like a few vodka martinis.

I'm old and may get to the point where FSD is better than my driving. Would be worth it then. (I don't drink alcohol).

Definitely not, IT should be standard or a slight fee. I don't understand why the visualizations change either. It's like they downgrade/ punish us for not having FSD.

The current non-FSD viz is actively making the car look dated. But, I guess Tesla needs to justify 12k to buyers somehow

I guess Tesla must have information that we don’t for them to have the $12k price and no-transfer policy. To me if FSD is say $3-5k and transferable to a new Tesla, they will get much higher take rate and tie people to their brand for much longer. The downside for Tesla is that they don’t get these people to pay for FSD in the future. But for someone like me, I would never own FSD unless it costs much less and transferable in the first place, so pricing it so high means they get $0 from me instead of the $3-5k and money for my next car, which would almost certainly be a Tesla if I had transferable FSD.

If FSD is at least certified level 4, it would be worth $12k, but before then it’s an extremely tough sell.

I suggest $0.07 / passenger / mile for cars, $0.20 / passenger / mile for pickups, and $0.70 / mile empty + $0.70 / mile / trailer for semis.
