Great approach to the 5th-wheel/gooseneck trailer towing question. Thanks for breaking it down for us. You've got an excellent analytical mind. I agree with your analysis, with only one question remaining in my mind. Tesla's Cybertruck web pages feature a photo of what appears to be towing a...

Hmm. I can believe that scenario. Might be a difference between flat glass and curved glass. Thinking about those old hydro-dam structures, which are curved toward the forces, putting the structure in compression. Any certified engineers care to chip in?

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

There's only one issue I can see with pulling an RV with the Cybrtrck and it's only relevant to 5th-wheel style trailers. The high sides of the vault will hit the trailer during radical turning, or backing into a campsite. Not sure because of my lack of experience, but maybe a gooseneck-style...

Having a low-range option for places like Elephant Hill in Canyonlands NP could be helpful but not sure it'd be needed (maybe if I was towing a Falcon 9 rocket). I doubt I'll be off-roading in it though, mainly because it's too wide to get through some of those routes. I see myself (and our...

Lady Called Police on Dog in Car with Dog Mode Running!

How about the car activating a friendly voice - stating an infomercial about 'dog mode', what the interior temperature is, and that the dog is safe. Followed up by a warning that continued peering into this car may indicate a criminal prowl and that local law enforcement may be called. [What...

Lady Called Police on Dog in Car with Dog Mode Running!

I think I met her at the register in the PetsMart in Issaquah WA. I tried my best to explain 'dog mode', but all she wanted to do is yell that "...it's against the law to leave your pets in the car!" while the cashier kept rolling his eyes at her. Still, I won't fault her for caring.

How many bring your dog in the car?

This is the one we use. The best feature is the 2 zippers on the front part. These allow us to hook it onto the front seat headrests and leave the center hang down, which allows the cool air coming from the vent in the MS center console to help keep the back cool. Plush Paws Products®...

Tesla chargers are not for parking

We're planning a 4600 mile road trip from CO to Fremont, then up the coast to WA and return. We try to charge up before stopping overnight, so we rarely use destination chargers but in those rare situations, we can gauge an approximate time to complete charging, and will reliably move 'Joules'...

    I3 Road Rage.

Thought of carrying my sig on my west coast trip but don't like any waistband options bc I suspect the seat belt would interfere with a clean draw. Got a shoulder rig on order as 'Plan A'. Musk on Tesla Pickup: ‘Coolest Car I’ve Ever Seen’

I agree that most Superchargers I've visited aren't 'drive thru' (Seaside Oregon is). We charge our MS at home on a 32A circuit...

Wall Connector Installation Report - 60a using EMT - Parts List

True enough - unless you installed an LB on a stub beneath the charger (with the LB outlet facing the rear). You've described perfectly where the true fraud is. I find this detrimental effect of WSJ's ongoing effort to destroy #TSLA's SP is sickening. Still, it goes under the SEC radar. Until we citizens demand a government that effectively addresses income inequality, the 'have nots' will continue to steal from the 'haves'. You'd think the Insurance Corps would be lobbying for this but, no, I see them simply passing their costs down to the law-abiding citizens among us...
