I agree, it’s the BATTERIES! I’d like to see a GF on every continent that has a grid for TE production. Work with the governments to help finance but SPEED up the adoption of TE and the semi. Any excess batteries can always go to powerwalls or cars.

There’s additional costs beyond car battery costs - land, preparation, inverters (in Powerpacks), transformers/ interconnect equipment, etc. And installation labor. One big expense they avoid is fuel that a peaking plant would require

As I understand the current ‘arrangement ‘ paperwork comes from Raleigh (a Real dealer that was approved before Tesla became a threat), test drives can happen with some additional paperwork, but no ‘sales’ discussions, only online info. What BS! I bought two there and it was infinitly better...

Something you probably won’t see in the national news and FUD - today at Carowinds - a local theme park, 12 or so cars were engulfed in flame in the parking lot - fortunately no one was hurt and I didn’t see a Tesla in the bunch so it’s a non-event.

Unfortunately many of us can’t go back to 2010, but an average price of $250 looks really good!

The absurdity of comparing the Ioniq (or Leaf or bolt ) to the M3 shows he has done very limited research-if any. It’s very easy to pick 5 random you tube results for either and draw a better conclusion!

I don’t see any OEM working with a Tesla spinoff for autopilot just as a matter of pride- even on their vertical ride down!

Just saw a Cadillac commercial that passes a white Model S and implies their auto drive is better. . . Has anyone tried it? Last review I read a few months ago said it was sloppy and I have no inclination to even test drive one.

I’ll give you a good example of conversion rate. I made a reservation Day 1 in line around 11 am. In May of 2016, scraped together enough to order a 60S, delivered in July,2016 and cancelled our reservation. So -1. Six months later, reserved a 3, so plus 1. And I know 3 that have converted...

Or a LOT of iron / al coming through the firewall!
