Musk said Tesla cars would rise in value, but the opposite happened

I actually don’t doubt this, in the general definition of value. The value of my Tesla has increased because its utility keeps improving. But the resale value has decreased because of lower demand or higher supply.

What I also like about my Tesla is what I believe to be its lifetime and its lifetime cost. I expect my vehicle to last way longer than a gas car of the same price and incur way less maintenance cost and fuel cost.

Market value can deviate significantly from intrinsic value because it involves the psychological factor. Whether people love the car, it is still the same car. And my car keeps increasing in value.
