Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Once you go through the delivery survey, the button disappears, right?
The MyTesla page is back to the way it was yesterday, with no indication that they just told me that my car could be picked up in the next few weeks or that I just filled out their delivery questions (e.g., deliver/pickup, financing, etc.).

That is what I see. You should have gotten an email after submitting the delivery survey, and that email should contain your delivery window. If you didn't, you should probably send them an email ([email protected]) or call them.

Hey All,
To give more details about the delivery-
It was 12/9/12, Ben Bird met the truck and drove the car to meet us (18-wheeler was too big)
Sig Red performance with 21" gray wheels, pano roof, and white interior. Only 2 miles on it.
Drives like a dream, and is crazy fast.
Due Bill - parcel shelf, carbon fiber spoiler and a detailing since it was shipped direct and was dirty.
Paint armor was curling up on one corner, but everything else looked great. Pano roof is sticking on some black gunk that looks like sealant (such as would be used for a windshield replacement). Service note scheduled.
Watch out for the paint- already scratched it with my watch accicendally. (doh).

I just received an email from my DS that my car (VIN 1850) is now on a transporter headed for Pa.
For those of you that have gone through this already and taken delivery, did your My Garage page change from the standard "The Tesla factory is building your Model S performance" status?
I was hoping that once my car was done and on a transporter i would see some kind of change with more info on My Garage page.

WOW! This is very exciting!!

Appreciate as much info you can share on the following…
1. What do the finance rate numbers look like from Tesla?
2. Did you find any insurance companies that are Model S friendly?
3. What tips do you have for using SolarCity to install the 240V outlet? (any specific reason you chose them aside from the fact that they are backed by Elon)

All above questions are from another a Model S pre-orderee (and fan boy) in the San Jose, CA area.

Cheers.

So I originally had a Dec/Jan delivery window. P3883. Standard 85KWH config. I checked right after Thanksgiving and was told they wouldn't know more until about 3 weeks from then. I'm thinking, "Well, it'd be nice to get the car in December but January will do...".

Got the "will you take your car in 2012?" email and responded "Yes!!!".

Got email this afternoon, "It's time to schedule your delivery ... Congratulations! It's now time to start planning the delivery of your Model S. ..."

Cool, I'm thinking. I'll definitely get it by the end of the year. So I immediately click buttons and select "factory delivery". (And yes, I want financing and have a trade-in.)

Got email later confirming factory pickup with a window of Dec. 16 - Dec. 30th. "Awesome!", I'm thinking.

Then I got email later this afternoon, "Can you pick your car up this week, Thursday-Sunday at the factory?"

Holy cow!! Ok, time to get cracking on finance, finalizing the Solar City 240V outlet install and lining up insurance!!!

Hi Gody,

I have been with Geico for a decade, and they quoted me $1100 fully comp with a $500 deductible. I tried out progressive, and they now have my business for $502. The moral of the story - definitely shop around.

Sequence P1988 now has a VIN: 1924! Still just a delivery window, Dec 12-26, no specific delivery time yet.

Within an hour of posting about it? Sounds like there's a guardian angel at Tesla watching these forums. :)

Mine is on a truck as of yesterday and I'm still showing the "building" status. I can now see the manuals link, but I think everyone sees that now.

Coincidental. I posted before my latest "nagging" call.
I have been calling and asking for the VIN for the last five business days. I think they just got tired me me asking. :)
The ownership experience specialist on the phone told me I should be hearing from my Delivery Specialist in 1 or 2 days to get a scheduled delivery date.

My Model S just got home, here is few quick photos cause I am off driving again! I will post more later. P1456, Vin1646, Seattle, Blue, 85kW, fast, due bill - parcel shelf only, tan, gotta go!
