    All local inventory is GONE

That's interesting. In New York (within 200 miles) there's also no inventory Model 3s available online, just S and X).

    quarterly production/delivery numbers?

Yeah, maybe it's because statistics take longer from Europe and China :)
  3. W

    quarterly production/delivery numbers?

Not to be conspiratorial, but isn't it weird that the Q3 production and delivery numbers haven't been released yet? I just spent some time looking back at 2018 and for all quarters it looked like they were released on the morning of the second day of the next quarter. Now it's already the third...

Don't bother reserving a Y on the first day.

These are not being booked as revenue - the journal entries are (1) 2.5K to cash (2) same to a deposit liability. Deposits have no impact on reported revenue or earnings... come on now.
  5. W

Don't bother reserving a Y on the first day.

I think it's a pretty reasonable assumption that Model Y will come in the same flavors as the Model 3. Eventually... but that could be a while

what the heck happened to the reservation list?

They're not producing 7K cars a week now, for the US market. At all. There's 3 or 4 ships leaving SF every week for either China or Europe, with, say, 1,500-1,800 cars per ship. And Bloomberg is projecting they've been producing about 5,800 cars a week this quarter. So that leaves maybe 1,000...

    Ordering a Model Y

Guys, it's already been stated that the Y will have the exact same battery pack as the 3 (just as the X has the same as the S), in fact it will have the exact same drive train/options. Even further, it will have 75% approx the same parts as the 3. It's basically exactly the same car as the 3...

    Model Y reveal prediction.

It is most likely going to be built there.

    Model Y reveal prediction.

A pretty good (and possibly doable) wow-factor would be to do the first hand-overs of signature Roadsters at the unveiling of the Y.

    EU Delivery 2nd of March

Your image files aren't showing on my computer, but no matter... Congratulations!! Hope your service visit on Monday goes well!

    EU Delivery 2nd of March

I believe they're telling (at least some) people in Europe now that some of those options are now being added for free in upcoming deliveries. Anyway, please post your initial thoughts from delivery. We want pictures!

Standard Range Model 3 Now Available for $35,000

Yeah, but you also get to drive a Volt. Sorry, but they're simply not even remotely comparable vehicles.

Standard Range Model 3 Now Available for $35,000

Depends on where you live, but a list of service centers are here: US Tesla Service Centers | Tesla And this is how you order service, including through a "ranger" that will come to your home or work: Service | Tesla
  15. W

Standard Range Model 3 Now Available for $35,000

Definitely not. There's no 35K model S, that's the model 3. Also, if you order today, you get priority if you have a prior reservation. With an "early number" reservation, you might get your car in 2-4 weeks, but with no reservation you've got a whole lot of people ahead of you in line.
  16. W

Standard Range Model 3 Now Available for $35,000

In fact, wealthy people never ever go to car dealerships. They hire people to go for them and to deal with the sales people. When the service you "offer" is so universally hated that your most valuable customers will pay people just to avoid dealing with you... you know you're ripe for disruption.

Standard Range Model 3 Now Available for $35,000

Hope some of the laid off sales people can be rehired in service.

More And More Tesla Model 3 Reach Norway: Sales Imminent

For the Norwegians who have received their Model 3 cars: Is Enhanced Autopilot (with Navigate on Autopilot) included? and active? I heard somewhere this was not yet active in Europe...?

European pricing and configurator now live

Really? Autopilot is unavailable on 99% of German roads? Any current German model S owners care to comment on this? This is a weird situation - in most of the US and Europe autopilot is available more than half the time...

European pricing and configurator now live

Bummer (for Germans) - wonder if that's affecting the ability to order in other European countries?

So, thus far, we have Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Holland, and Ukraine here. Any others? Anyone configured and waiting in Oslo, Norway? Any VINs?

    European orders?

Would be interesting to hear from reservation holders in Europe. Apparently, Tesla is now reaching out to invite people to at least come see the car in the showrooms/dealerships. I assume in cities like Oslo, Paris, Amsterdam, etc. Any sense out there of when the first people in Europe will be...

    AWD delivery thread

I could be wrong, but I actually don't think Tesla is able to control how cars flow in and out of rail yards. I think that's more at the discretion of the railways and whoever operates those yards.

    AWD delivery thread

They are able to fix significant panel misalignment right there while you wait? In just 15 minutes? Is this normal at other delivery centers?

May invites - no new invites after shutdown?

According to Bloomberg (We Set Out to Crack Tesla's Biggest Mystery: How Many Model 3s It's Making), the "donut hole" has filled in in the last week or so, and new VINs in the 32K range appear to be reported, so things are looking up again?
  33. W

May invites - no new invites after shutdown?

This makes the most sense as explanation!
  34. W

May invites - no new invites after shutdown?

It's weeks since production was restarted after the brief shutdown (only 3-4 days?) and there's obviously been a ton of new VINs awarded, some close to the 30K mark, according to Bloomberg. However, we haven't seen a lot of new invites to configure lately, and no new threads for May invites...

When non-owner invites go out, will CA non-owners get the first invites?

I think that's a distinction without a difference, since Tesla in any case isn't in the business of parking and storing cars, they're in the business of selling them. Once their delivery centers in CA can no longer get total daily production delivered, they need to send them elsewhere.
  36. W

When non-owner invites go out, will CA non-owners get the first invites?

Depends on the ramp-up. Once they're producing 2,000, roughly, per week, limiting to only CA deliveries wouldn't be practical. There's only so many delivery centers and they have limited capacity. Better to send the production out across the country to make sure you're not just producing for...

[POLL] CA Current owners ONLY. Have you received your config invite yet?

Still, with lots of invites going out now to non-CA owners, I would think the CA owners should be mostly taken care of, so this poll is probably no longer updating...

    Tesla owner configurations begin

Lots of non-CA owners getting their invites today!! Would be interesting to see the poll of CA owners get updated more...

[POLL] CA Current owners ONLY. Have you received your config invite yet?

Seeing any good estimates for when III deliveries will begin to non-owners and/or non-CA owners? My best guess is they will have to start going out of CA as soon as they begin seriously exceeding 2,000 cars per week produced. With two main delivery centers (and assuming they can deliver about...

[POLL] CA Current owners ONLY. Have you received your config invite yet?

Looks like we're just barely over 50% here. Did the invites stop going out?
