    The new nose

Personally I love it. Love the look of the whole car. I don't need such a huge car, and couldn't afford it anyway, but this makes me very excited for Model 3 :D

Australia Model X delivery estimate is now late 2016 for new reservations

Hugh, that's actually pretty close time wise compared to the Model S launch down here. The first MS's landed in Aus around the end of last year. Which makes sense I guess being a new market. But a year difference doesn't seem so bad

    Chevy Bolt test mule photographed

I am a fan of Telsa (obviously, otherwise I wouldn't be on this forum). I have test-driven an S, but had to be in a different state to do so as Tesla hasn't made it across the desert in the middle of our country yet (Think roughly NY to Seattle distance). Well, there are Tesla's here, just not...

Is anyone else planning around the Tesla III release?

magic definitely waiting on the 3. I'm curious about the Leaf too (obviously a completely different experience, but currently cheaper). Aus Nis San messed up the launch for the Leaf here though, so we're still getting 2012 model cars here. So I could get one of those (currently 0% finance), or...

    Vanity Plates

There was a Leaf at Electrikhana today with 'RA VOLT', as is sun god and electricity, plus play on revolt. Don't know what I would get when I eventually get one...

    Anyone in Perth?

Done, I will definitely be there :D

    Anyone in Perth?

of, how are the cars? Does anyone live around Midland? I'm trying to figure out what my chances of catching a glimpse are :)

    The dream comes crashing down

Sucks about the car, and the accident in general, getting in an accident is never fun, and mostly terrifying. Not to bring about a huge argument, but just to mention it, here (Australia) I was taught not to measure in distance or car lengths, because that gets confusing especially at high...

    Australian Model S pics

So excited to see pictures of cars in Perth! I think I might go a little crazy first time I see one here in person :)

    EVs in Australia (non Tesla)

I wasn't sure if I liked it at first, but it's growing on me. Hopefully by the time I have saved enough to be looking for my first electric car, I'll have a few to choose from ^_^ Now just to somehow make sure they release it...

Chevy Bolt - 200 mile range for $30k base price (after incentive)

I thought when Elon released the patents, he specified that other companies were welcome to use the SC network as long as they kept it free? Have I remembered this wrong? If I'm right here, that seems to me a 'good' reason why other companies won't use it; there's no way to turn a profit. On...

    Tesla in Australia

I agree on the service centre, I assumed that service centres would have superchargers present, so therefore would make at least a small blip on the map :P As it is, we look to be all but ignored. Which 'makes sense' but is nevertheless frustrating for those of us who live here. More frustrating...

    Tesla in Australia

I know that I probably shouldn't be surprised, but I am a little disappointed that on the 2016 map there was nothing about Perth. I want Tesla to explode here, but how many people can afford to both buy the car, and ship it back east if it needs a service? I really hope this changes, or my first...

What car will you be coming from?

When Model 3 comes out, I assume I will still have my current car... So whenever I can afford it, upgrading from Toyota echo. Or maybe a leaf by then. Getting really sick of petrol knowing there's another option.

    List of confirmed Australian Orders

Swan Valley is really close to where I am. Pity I won't have a Tesla to drive there. Looks like I'll have to wait a while for a meet up :P

    Tesla in Australia

I did have a drive on the 30th, between 1 and 2 so it could have been me :) Sorry if I didn't notice your wave, I was too busy being in love with the car. I was worried about it being a 'big' car, as most of the forums say, but it was beautiful! I also had to be pushed to accelerate for more...

    Tesla in Australia

Ugh, why is our PM such an idiot? On a related note, does anyone know where I can get some money to invest in renewables before the inevitable spike in their value? :P

    WA Electric Highway

This is fantastic!! I might end up getting a LEAF before I can afford a Tesla, so this would be awesome :)

    Tesla in Australia

Haha, part of the Aussie website is in German at the moment :P

About time to unveil the D and something else

All he said was they weren't going to talk about the 3 or X... They could show them and let them speak for themselves? :)

    Tesla in Australia

Thanks, I've just sent him an email... I'm also a bit hesitant to waste their time though, since I know I can't afford one right now. And have never driven any kind of high powered car (my current car is a Toyota Echo), let alone a Tesla... But it certainly would make for an amazing experience

    Tesla in Australia

Anybody over in Melbourne, the Tesla site says that the Marriott Tesla will be there until the 31st October. Is there a 'display' there, or is it just the test drives? I'm going to be there over that weekend (giant convention in Melbourne) and am hoping that I might get to see one, but not too...

    List of confirmed Australian Orders

That sounds hopeful that they will in fact open a service centre here at some point? That is so exciting that you will be getting it soon(ish)! I hope I see it around so I can either come say hi or stare lovingly at it from a distance :P

    Tesla in Australia

Not sure if this was the thread that people were speculating about the location of the service centre... But just wondering if anyone had seen this? Frederick St in Artarmon?

About time to unveil the D and something else

To me, the D looks like it sits at the same size as the 85, whereas the P protrudes just slightly over it. Very clever edit maybe? Who knows. I'm having fun reading all the theories though :D

First Signature and First Production Delivery in Australia

I have a brilliant plan. Those of us on here who are totally obsessed with Tesla, but currently can't afford one, can be given one of the slightly outdated but build sigs, as a long term loan, until we can afford an S or a 3. That way we can continue to build brand and awareness in Australia...

    Tesla in Australia

Everyone seems to be thinking dual motor Model S and beta/production model of the X... I'm desperately hoping for some news on the 3. I mean, it's still going to be years away, and even more years away for us here, and potentially even more until I can afford one... But I want to hear about my...

    Anyone in Perth?

That's interesting Gabz, I didn't know that. I know that UWA and some others are trying to get chargers down the coast to show that you can take long trips with electric. I really hope they build a service centre here. Surely if you can beat range anxiety here, you can beat it anywhere. Not that...

    Anyone in Perth?

Good to know I'm not the only one just wishing for a Tesla at this point. Adapter, maybe when you finally get it we can see some pictures? I'm sure you will want to show it off :) Hopefully enough people will buy over here that they'll decide to build a service centre here :)

    Anyone in Perth?

Hi everyone, Just wanted to get a bit of an idea of any Tesla owners-to-be in Perth? I would love to get my hands on one when I can eventually afford it, but have seen speculation on these forums that servicing for Perth based customers might end up being quite costly. Any thoughts? Anyone...
