Chattanooga is a perfect place for a Supercharger; but there's nothing at the airport.
Interesting, since Chattanooga is "end of 2015" on Tesla's map.
It's interesting they are willing to pay $600 per month for a location with limited amenities, as I thought they typically paid only nominal rent. I'm sure the cost of electricity is still alot more than rent regardless.
They're also picking up the parking fee (for stays <2 hours), which I'm sure adds something to the monthly figure.
Perhaps true, but there is NOTHING to do other than watch planes come and go at our airport. (And not even many of them!!) No restaurants. No bars. NOTHING. And it's at least 2 or 3 miles off I-75 and perhaps 4 or 5 from I-24. Hamilton Place Mall would have been a far better choice. I had heard they were in negotiations with HPM so I was surprised they announced the airport.Well, I'd put it that Tesla is paying extra for the spots because they are paid parking places. I'd expect they're also pretty happy to pay a little more at airports, where there's stability and expansion room.

All the restaurants??? There is one small counter with a few seats. I am going to go over there this morning and shoot a few shots and see if I can find the location of where the chargers are going to be located. I will post shots later. Are all the restaurants behind security? I know that the airport is undergoing a major renovation; will there be someplace to eat after that's done?
There will be 6 bays and they will be in the Intermediate Parking Area right next to the terminal. You will need to stop and get a parking ticket but will not have to pay if you depart the parking area w/i two hours of arrival. Because it is a manned parking booth I hope there will not be an ICEing problem, . . .
I live less than 5 miles away from this so I will keep an eye on it but I think it is really funny that Chattanooga might get a SuperCharger before Atlanta! The contact also left me with some menus of the new food options as well.
