Wait someone not from the USA can't put his guess (even explicitly stated as a guess) about how things work in the US?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with discussing things on this forum, and nothing wrong with speculating. It isn't like renim is trying to push his speculation as fact.
hmmm so if I say all mexicans eat beans and are landscapers that wouldn't be an issue?

I'm sorry but this cannot not go uncontested, your view is one derived from seeing the US through a filter of movies and media outlets with biases. are there some people who "wear" their vehicles as a fashion statement? I suppose there are but to make such a blanket condemnation of people's values here would be like me claiming that all aussies talk in riddles while swilling beer on the sheep station in the middle of a barren wasteland.

While @renim overstated it, perhaps, a fair number of people in the US buy cars that reflect who they want to be or how they perceive themselves or what they want others to think. The decision of a pickup vs. sedan vs. coupe vs. city car vs. convertible vs. sports car ... or BMW vs. Chevy vs. Toyota ... this isn't always based on the utility of the vehicle.

I think that's fair to say about anyone, anywhere, about anything - whether it's clothing choice, house, car, spouse (!!), whatever. I don't think it's specific to a region or nationality or gender or age group.

Can we all move on?

I'm not from USA, so the next factor is also 2nd hand guesstimate
'Americans ...'
While I don't find it offensive, I see it as an at best "troubled" way of trying to express a point.

I don't interact with ___ regularly but here's my opinion on them from afar stated in a way that some would find offensive: ...

Since we seem to be chiming in:
I think Elon's Martian friends are jerks for never contacting us even though we all know that they have the best cell phone reception.

This is actually my first post here, have been lurking for months. I have a tesla model S 60. I am extremely right wing, love capitalism, think global warming is a scam, can't stand environmentalists and liberals, and spent most of my free time trying to come up with ways of destroying the democrat party and socialism in general. So why do I drive a tesla? Because I'm a car enthusiast and love driving, and I love the silent and addictive way the tesla overtakes german autobahn bombers. Fun stuff.

Great but please stay on topic. What do you eat for breakfast and what type of firearm do you keep at hand while eating? Staying with the Dr. Seuss theme would be helpful as well.
