New Supercharger locations

So we now have some lo-res maps showing a roll out over time -- http://www.teslamotors.com/supercharger

But do we have a definitive list of the 18 new charging locations for summer 2013 and the 53 opening in the fall?

More likely outside of Luling - that would pick up both those traveling along with the I-10 corridor and those heading to the coast from Austin.

(Plus it would allow people to stop at City Market BBQ.)

IMO, the dot is clearly well north of I-10. My guess is San Marcos. But hey, maybe we're just reading tea leaves...

Does anyone know the difference between the grey and red dots? Does it mean that in Summer 2013 that they will have plans for a supercharger or it will be there. The same grey dots switch to red when you go another quarter out.

Grey's are waiting for permits & final approval & expect to be open in a couple of months.

And more importantly in the long term scheme, Gen3 will be all set. That was always the case with the SC rollout, but today's announcement makes it pretty crystal clear they want massive coverage done before Gen3.

No, it will open during that period. We know this from specific stations mentioned in the press release compared to dots.

No, because in their press release, say they will triple the number of stations by the end of next month. So most of the gray dots on the Summer 2013 map will be open by the end of June.

No, I think gray means that it will open by the end of the time period you are looking at red means it was open at the end of the prior period. Of course, TM isn't always great with date targets.

There has been speculation/rumors about Superchargers going in on I-95 in Darien and the Merritt Parkway in Greenwich in CT. Want to know where the NJ SC will be (can't make it round trip to AC yet).

Looks north of New Braunfels to me. I would guess Kyle/Buda area. It definitely still opens up trips from San Antonio through to Dallas. I am guessing Temple first, then Hillsborough and Buda.

Want to know where the NJ SC will be (can't make it round trip to AC yet).

From what I've read the NJ location will be exit 7A Southbound and 8 Northbound on the Turnpike. I will look for the thread I saw that in.

Agree. Little Rock via Oklahoma City doesn't seem optimal. I suspect these gaps will be addressed through locations tweaks / additions over the coming months.

I don't think so. Grey dots are merely the new additions for any selected timeframe. Look at the "Today" map. There are no grey dots, and we know some new locations are well underway — presumably due to open in the summer.

Getting so many locations within 2 years is awesome. I used the SC for the first time this past weekend, worked great, but cutting down the charging time by 10-15 minutes will be great. Eventually it would be nice to increase the rate to half charge in 5-10 minutes (if technologically possible).

I can't find any exact locations of the ones going online soon. Did Tesla not make these locations public yet?
