According to info from supercharge.info, a permit has been issued for a supercharger in Charlottesville (2100 Bond Street). Nice area but it would have been more practical to put it closer to I-64.

The Peaks of Otter Lodge, the only overnight inn on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Bedford/Roanoke VA, and a nice place on a lovely mountain lake, is in the process of installing an HPWC. The GM seemed very knowledgeable about the destination charging program, and thought other park locations in the area are also installing HPWC. He let me hook up last weekend to 120v for 36 hours which got me from 75-218 so I could get home without a stop. I especially enjoyed the first 10 energy-free miles downhill on departure.

I find that report very typical for Norther VA utiliquest. I just did some excavating in my back yard (installing solar on an out building), and had my yard marked. There was clear evidence of communication and power lines that the marker just completely missed... my backhoe didn't.

Seems to me quite in line with reports of more installs and upgrades of SCs. This place has tons of room and is right in line with I95 Maine to Fla. It has 8 slots and is fairly easy to make it a 20 slot location like the news articles have been talking. I've never seen it full but of course we don't want to ever see it full. Go Beau!

I was their this weekend and saw no evidence of an expansion, but it is marked on the grass. I wonder how big they will make it? There is enough room on that back wall for another 8 stalls if they wanted =).

Somehow I don't think Glen Allen, VA is idea for solar, also I think they lease it from the developer, so probably no solar canopy on the way.

Ok, did they do the whole lot with a front loader? I guess with 14 inches it's not so easy to just plow any lot. That's a lot of snow. I just don't get why they didn't put the chargers at the curb like most. Maybe so you see the view rather than the back of a building? lol
