Someone please help - I'm stuck in valet mode by accident and it's a third party purchase (I'm new owner, details arent reflected yet on app)

Additionally, the car was purchased at auction, so the dealer has no clue what the pin is. And I have no clue who the previous owner was; can't find any info, tesla won't release the info of course for privacy reasons.

Since your car was purchased at auction by the dealer, be prepared to have the Free Unlimited Supercharging taken away.

Folks blaming Tesla for all this stuff. It was just a newbie messing with the screen unintelligently. Tesla fixed it all once they got the paperwork. Personal accountability folks

In addition, I am surprised it worked even on a grandfathered lifetime free supercharging car. There can still be idle fees. Since Tesla doesn't know who the current owner is, and until the account has been changed, wouldn't the old owner be billed? Also, I agree Tesla will likely remove the free supercharging.

I don't think they will. They already completed the transfer and it's in my name now and showing the supercharging on my spec page. Not sure why they'd later go back in and remove that. I think I'm good to go.

The crappy thing is I did see the previous owners info on the nav, but in valet, it doesnt show.

I took it up to service and they were able to get me out of valet mode

Unfortunately no one can expedite my documents though.

@frankp85d. I just ran into the same situation as you. did the service centre charge fee to get you out of valet mode?
