My manual says the battery should be replaced yearly: "Replacing the Key Battery The key's battery lasts for approximately a year with normal use. When the battery is low, a message displays on the instrument panel."

Just replace them when notified. The use and the battery used are too variable to determine life.

I'd probably also go with the Tesla windshield if no difference in price to you. There have been several posts that the Safelight does not keep as much heat out of the car, which would be especially important in an electric car. That is a bunch of money for a windshield.

This happens occasionally with certain updates. I have found that usually, it is just muted for some reason. Turn the volume up and/or press the mute off and I get sound 9-% of the time. Other solution is a reboot.
