While the US has an $8K discount for shorter range vehicles (the software locked 100D batteries), there's no such option in Canada. Anyone hear about the reason why?
The 100D variants of each car now have a software locked battery version available for a lower starting price. The Model S has 310 miles of range for the standard offering and 335 miles for the extended range option.

Ahh gotcha. Just checked it out myself. If I had to take a guess probably some sort of approval process still pending in Canada because otherwise both countries get things simultaneously. Looks like they’re streamlining the process like the Model 3 is. Instead of going by battery size it’s Model S, then Model S Performance etc.
