Sure is damn not around here!
An all time Canadian high was set yesterday in Lytton BC at 46.6 degrees Celsius (116 F) That is 1.6 degrees higher than the previous record from 1937 in Saskatchewan. That is 1 degree less than Las Vegas's all time record of 117.
Lytton is a few hours from where I am at, where thankfully it "only" reached 42 degrees yesterday. The air conditioner came on at 10 am and didn't turn off until after 10 pm!
Seattle's old record is 103, it got to 104 Sunday and is supposed to get to 110 tomorrow.
Wow. This area isn't used to this heat.
