Rear license plate cover mounting question

I'm looking at installing a cover over the license plate (not frame) but discovered that most came with screws that are too large for the four holes on the Tesla license plate backing. Anyone else have this issue? The Tesla supplied screws are simply too short to allow mounting of a cover over the plate.

Try one of these. I bought the 2nd link for my plate. Got the 8mm. The cover that you have might need the 10mm.

The WeatherTech covered frames, and all their lic. plate holders, come with a handfull of screw types, some of them fit the Tesla threads. Also, you can get the same type of screws at almost any decent hardware store. Make sure you get the type that don't rust.
