Real World Range - Best Wheels / Tires 2014 Model S

Our real world range on our 2014 P85D is pretty consistently about 80% of whatever mileage is listed on the computer. So, if we charge to 200 miles, we will get 160 real world miles. The car has 21" staggered Turbines with Michelin Pilot Sport. I understand there are a lot of factors here, but we live in SoCal so the temperatures are pretty consistent. I do drive the canyons periodically, and the car holds well, especially with the "+" suspension.

I am thinking of changing wheels and tires for a number of reasons - I get maybe 20,000 miles from the Pilot Sports, have had 4 blow-outs in 6 years owning the car (none in 20 years owning other cars), and we're trying to improve range for longer trips.

I understand 19" wheels should get better range, but not sure how much? I also understand a non-staggered arrangement can be rotated, so I would get more life out of each set.

Any suggestions?
