M3 EAP now free in China

Looks like Tesla added EAP for free on all china M3 sales. I wonder if it is to increase the current demand?

I think you meant EAP, not FSD.

and it's likely a temporary measure to offset tarrifs imposed by having to import the car, rather than produce them at Gigafactory 3 in China as is the future plan.

This could be good for collecting data for FSD development since FSD could be legal in China way before USA.

this, i believe, is what will happen in all markets. Tesla are about to be attacked from all sides and must compete with a substantial quality and tax credit disadvantage. Autopilot is a good tool to help shift perception in their favor.

China has a month to sell as many Model 3s as they can.

Giving out 5K in software if it results in a sale is better than reducing the sales price by 5K.

All the cars are either LR or P. Tesla can afford this.
