Does the clock change automatically when you cross time zones?

@FlasherZ, thanks for the tip. Not that it's going to matter to me now (probably many years before my car crosses a time zone again), but when I was driving from New Mexico to Arizona, I would be halfway between the Holbrook and Flagstaff superchargers before my car's time would update (during Daylight Savings time, when Arizona is in a different time zone than New Mexico).

I just recently drove that stretch of I-40. Keep in mind that most of the way from Gallup to Holbrook is on the Navajo Nation, and the stretch from Holbrook to near Flagstaff skirts the southern border of the reservation. While most of AZ stays on MST year round, that is not the case on the Navajo Nation -- they observe DST...

I noticed my car staying on DST until we dipped south for a drive through Petrified Forrest when it finally updated back to MST...
