Sorry, as an infantry soldier I would always have preferred a vehicle that can be refuelled within five minutes from some jerry cans over something that needs to be hooked up to a high voltage charger for 30 minutes.
Add the fact that you can get diesel from any friendly force, without being told that unfortanely your US sockets aren't compatible with their CCS chargers. Additionally, when deployed you would need powerful diesel generators and chargers to keep the CTs charged. Don't see much benefit for the environment there.

As previously stated, it's not a Hummer replacement. It's a backup solution that has good utility in peacetime or logistics etc. in wartime. It's gunner happen.

Logistics vehicles in wartime also need to be able to refuel easily.
They will truck in megapacks, solar cells, diesel generators, fuel cells, wind turbines and use Superchargers where still available. Things will change in warfare dramatically in the next 30 years. Buying a few CTs to drive to and from the base is where it starts.

Agree that renewable or more efficient use of fossil energy helps military use.

Fuel trucks travelling across Pakistan and Afghanistan were a major weakness.

Russians having cars, scooby doo vans blown up by drones is killing their fuel logistics.

WW2 - plenty of tanks self destroyed due to lack of fuel.

As for police use, EVs with 48/120/240 volts even more useful for their power needs without idling engines poisoning police with fumes.

These could be simply modified with bulletproof windows and kevlar panels.

You have no clue as to what is required to up-armor a vehicle,
Read up, before you post something silly:

Cyber Trucks?
Yeah, they might be baseball-proof.
Kewl....

All mechanized vehicles need their supply lines. On Russia's first push into Ukraine, hundreds of tanks were found abandoned along the road, having simply run out of fuel. Ukraine filled them up, and put them in their own stockpile.

ICE and turbine vehicles generate tremendous amounts of heat, which allow them to be easily targeted and destroyed at a distance. Their heat signatures identify them so enemy knows what type of missle will be appropriate to take them out.

Military EVs have benefits of being much quieter, lighter weight, simple to drive and maintain. They will not replaced petrol/diesel/kerosene powered vehicles, but augment them when their capabilities fit the mission.

You can quietly scout in an ev powered vehicle or boat. Sneak up on enemy and observe with less chance of detection. Can drive closer without detection. EV can carry you for miles instead of walking, carry your gear and get the wounded back to aid.

Just as drones will not totally eliminate human piloted planes, EVs will find their uses. Believe they will become a valued addition to our military.
