May I ask who is your finance company? My novated lease people went put me through Metro Finance Pty Ltd in NSW.

My NL also went through Metro so I'll keep an eye on this. My rep did tell me that changing VIN was easy and Metro were being accommodating due to the GC circumstances.

Yeah we are Metro Finance via Flare NL but we hadn’t paid yet so just signed new contract with new vin etc.

I'd be surprised if they change it. My updated "Final" invoice (NSW stamp duty) has the same VIN and now a late September build date.
Realistically, if they switch us to newer cars, who will want to buy a 5 to 6 month old car that's about to be superceded by a 2024 refresh?

ohhhh. my invoice build dates says 01/01/0001 lol.

I have a VIN number and now my invoice says it is a Model Year: 2024 (my old invoice from GC was 2023)

No change in lease agreement for me. They also haven’t paid for car yet. Gave them new invoice and they were happy.

My interest rates have actually gone down a bit since the initial quote back from Sep/Oct last year.

Smart is absolutely horrid. Do you have the ability to cancel and go to a different provider?

My rates are fixed since it's been settled but if it had not, the rates with Metro Finance would have increased according to my provider.

Your lease is going to be half paid by the time you get your car at this rate!

Rates are not locked in for a NL until the vehicle is paid for (normally). Anything provided prior to that is a quote and can change

It’s something NSW people need to manually claim themselves with the government, so I assume you just provide bank details at the time.

It goes to you. So in reality you pay it back over time pre tax but get the full rebate in your pocket once the refund is received. So it’s actually a little bonus.
