I've just emailed to cancel. What an entirely disappointing experience. My wife summed it up earlier today after I explained the latest call with Tesla: "I can't believe how bad Tesla are at... everything." EDIT: I hope all of you get your cars soon and they are perfect.

Called Tesla (again) as they failed to call me back (again). They won’t budge on the delivery window and I have to pick up before 28 Feb or it is forfeit. They will do nothing to assist in any way. As a company they certainly come across as completely incompetent so far. Pathetic.

They had not called by 5pm so I gave them a call. They said they are still looking into it and will get back to me early on Saturday 27 Jan... What a joy this whole experience has been.

Nope. I haven’t paid yet and the earliest pickup is now outside of the EDD window in the app. Car will have sat somewhere in Aus for ~6 weeks before I am allowed to collect it. But I’m overseas then as previously mentioned, they will call me today (theoretically) to try and do something about that

I’m finding it hard to believe it takes over 4 weeks to get cars from Port Kembla to Alexandria EDIT: Received another identical email saying to book in delivery. Clicked through thinking maybe they fixed something but no, now the earliest I can book is 26 Feb 2:30 PM.

I'm guessing there's a solid backlog at Port Kembla due to the ongoing DP World industrial actions, so NSW/ACT deliveries may be a littler slower than they otherwise might have been.

Rates are not locked in for a NL until the vehicle is paid for (normally). Anything provided prior to that is a quote and can change

Just received an email confirming that I’ve been assigned a new vehicle, and this included the 6mo EAP

Summarising my Tesla experience so far: Ordered 23 Aug, estimated delivery window: Aug-Sep 2023 23 Aug to 12 Oct, no communications received. At the start of October the delivery window went blank in the app. ~10 October it updated to say Oct-Dec 12 Oct, VIN and final invoice received...

We should count ourselves lucky that we’ve experienced the level of service Tesla provides before the transaction is finalised and we can still walk away.

I ordered in August and did not receive an email about complimentary Enhanced Auto Pilot. I have not cancelled yet because the alternatives I’ve looked at all have long waits too. Not cancelling before locking in an alternative.

If I don’t have the vehicle before the end of the year I’ll be canceling. My experience with Tesla this far has been nothing short of abysmal.

I expect them to deliver the vehicles in order. Your argument would be valid if no other Tesla shipments came in. This is a major failing by Tesla.

The fee really should be refunded for cancellations in this instance. Sure, they can't control the biosecurity issue. They can however control everything else around it, such as reallocation of vehicles for first order first served etc. Crazy that they aren't doing this.
