To be honest I don’t think I have gone through a list of things to take delivery of a new car as comprehensive as this. At a dealer you pretty much just take a photo and drive off. It’s great Tesla staff just leaves you alone to spend another hour ticking off the list 😄

Wow ok, what’s forfeit mean? They assign the car to someone else and do you lose your deposit? So can you arrange someone else to pick up on your behalf?

I think more so for Sydney. Myself and some others here are scheduled for delivery in late Feb. We were all on MC. So still a month away and with more ships to unload.

Jeez, it will be like that for months considering the current PK backlog and also the number of ships still to unload cars at PK.

Great to hear about your good experience. I really hope delivery at Alexandria would be the same. Just concerned that with the large volume whether the staff would be too busy to show you through anything and you just get rushed out in 30min when your appointment time is up.

Yes and no, it was during GC saga, where they told me I’ll get a quicker delivery at Alexandria because of the daily volume. So I told them change it. Just never switched back to Chatswood. Anyway it’s booked in I’ll just wait some more😭 what’s another month huh?

I’ve moved mine to Alexandria from Chatswood for a quicker delivery, but still need to wait till end of Feb🤦🏻‍♂️

With the large number of cars, assuming delivery texts will be sent out over multiple days. I haven’t got delivery booking date yet and EDD still 1-22Feb. So let’s hope it’s been unloaded at PK and not still on the MC

I was advised that Tesla will contact us a week or so after we take delivery of the car, confirm the credit card we used to pay the deposit is still valid and the $400 will be credited back on that card.

Right, ok the screen shot table was under the title cars made in China. So all Aus cars are built in China so I thought 3D7 would mean 194kW motor.

What was the motor power spec showing in the RAV? It says 220kW. I thought model Y RWD motor spec is 190kW version? Anyone with insights?

There are black Gemini wheel covers you can buy off the shelf. Considering how much the plastic-dip paint and your effort will cost, just buy them, don’t bother painting yourself. Plus you get a spare set of wheel covers.

Yep will be at least changing to the black wheel covers. True the glass roof sort of cancels out the heat thing. See how it goes, might get one of those sliding sun roof covers if it gets too hot.

Yeah I got the white goods white. Saving money and also in Aus it’s usually hotter sunny weather and the white absorbs less heat. I know it’s pretty boring, but the other colour options were just too dark. If there was a lighter silver or blue I would’ve gone for that.
