Any Model Y with new projector headlights in the USA?

I searched, but didn't find any info. Are new Ys being delivered with the new LED matrix projector headlights in the US market? I'm holding off for that along with the new center console before ordering.

Right there with you, and also wondering on the heated steering wheel. Would like to be sure I get all three of these upgrades, and will then be ordering a Performance Model Y!

Yes, heated steering wheel is something else that I want to be sure to get. Hopefully the 82kWh pack also.

I have my order suspended waiting for 4 upgrades:

• giga press rear chassis
• new headlights
• heated steering wheel
• wrap around wood dash and door panels

I wonder if the rear casting will be hit or miss? Maybe they have two lines running, one with split castings and one with solid castings? Ultimately, that doesn't really make a difference to the consumer.

Just joined the forum. I've been speaking with Tesla in Milford, CT. I'm a bit of a Tesla newbie, but I went to test drive a Model Y last week and was blown away. When I asked about the Model Y with updated headlights the guy said all 2021 Model Y's have the new headlights including those that were on the showroom floor. I don't think this is true and the guy was just misinformed. Any thoughts on this?

It's easy enough to check. If it has the spherical lens as the outermost element then it's updated.

Yep. Those Model Ys in the showroom definitely did NOT have those headlights.

I did get confirmation from the partner I'm working with in Bellevue that the Ys now have the one-piece casting, and have seen a few new YouTube vids confirming the heated steering wheel in the wild. I'm waiting for the upgraded filtration system.

Tesla is probably aware that people like us are waiting on these changes. Their current demand is probably high enough (SR was just released) that they don't need to release these features yet.

The single piece casting doesn't mean much to me as a customer, but I'll be happy to have it. Is it lighter, stronger, better handling, less vibration?

So, if you get a Model Y with the new headlights I’m assuming you get the heated steering wheel and double pane glass, correct?

Also, are we assuming that the new headlight cars may come with the revised center console that is now appearing in Model Ys in China?

I'm not assuming anything. I want all of those features, but I'm not pulling the trigger until there are reports of all new builds having those features. I'd like the new door panels too.

I already have a 2018 Model 3 so I want my wife's Y to be as different as possible so it doesn't feel like the same exact car.
