Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I have given up trying to read every post but, it seems to me that the "firing" of 500 SC workers is nothing more than an evolution from an employee-based workforce to local contractors- based workforce. Just another lowering of COGS and other operational costs. All good.

You are equating short selling to investing? You should work for the SEC.

1.Fear of change. 2.Brand loyalty. 3.Ignorance of Tesla technological superiority 4.Hate for Elon based on MSM false narrative. 5.Lack of interest in learning the unknown.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

This confusion allowed the MSM to count ALL of the vehicles BYD produced in their comparison to Tesla. I.e. all vehicles include hybrids (which account for 1/2 of the NEVs), forklifts , buses, etc. Of course Tesla "took back the lead" in BEVs. They never lost it.
  5. H

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

What is it with "New Energy Vehicles".? If you read BYD's breakdown of their various electric vehicles, I infer that NEVs are actually PHEVs. It's possible that NEVs are being counted as BEVs when necessary to create confusion? FUD.

Keep in mind its Bloomberg "reporting"
  7. H

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I believe BYD does not break anything out. I.e., BEV, NEV(plug-in hybrids,) Buses, forklifts etc., are all lumped together. If they are price competitive with Tesla on BEV, I'll bet the remainder of their offerings are subsidizing them to do so.

Does anyone have the "real" numbers from China for February? Barron's has an article that, predictably, looks like BS. I refuse to subscribe to these fudsters so have not seen entire article. TIA.
  9. H

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Barron's has definitely ascended to the top of the Fudster roster. Their POV clearly demonstrates the difference between ignorance and stupidity, while having a significant component of both. Laughable.

What we need is a few more of the “smart money” people to announce that the stock is going nowhere for 2 years.

I don't have the article handy, but I read that Hertz is having its largest problem with Polestar cars. They had a 100,000 car contract with Polestar. Hertz has recently asked to be relieved of the remainder of their obligation to purchase. I think when it gets down to it, there are more...

I highly recommend taking an hour to listen to Pierre. He has done some very in-depth research on Tesla. He has the most positive view on BESS that I've heard from any analyst or anyone else outside of Tesla Management. He does not see the same organizational structure for Robo taxi as many...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

The rise of interest rates excluded a meaningful amount of potential Tesla buyers due to the fact that most car buyers, buy on time. As interest rates come down, incremental raises to the sales prices can be made, every dollar of which will go directly to the (pre-tax) bottom line. Also, in the...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I agree. There are other ways. What I am trying to point out is that, no matter how this turns out, a light may be shed on the current value of everything that is in the development "hopper" and could be good for the basis of the next mega-move.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

People understand that whatever the DCF value of what has been developed at and by Tesla belongs to the equity holders of TSLA. No way is Elon going to just walk away with another 13% of the Company, with the lesser shareholders getting nothing.
  18. H

Could be. I'm not up on the change being made. That would be a considerable change.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

The way that it has worked for me, twice, is that it is a credit against taxes owed. It is not an issue of what you paid for the car. It is simply a credit against taxes that you owe or have paid during the year. I.e., If you do not owe taxes equal to or more than the credit, you do not get the...

I was a broker from 1988 to 2007. I ran portfolios of small aggressive growth companies, you know, like the ones that are easily manipulated by media and (naked) short sellers. Reuter was always, even in the early 90's, the go-to medium for the Fud and downright lies that these criminals use...

Having invested (long) in heavily shorted companies, I can say that it is NEWS itself, i.e., good or bad, that empowers the manipulators. I can't tell you how many times I have known that good news was coming in several of my companies and, more often than not the stock goes down when it is...

I wouldn't put any faith in these numbers. Isn't this the guy who disavows the existence of naked shorts (and by definition, FTDs)? It's just not that simple Ihor.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Yes. Just a few days ago, I was thinking about the quantity of TSLA "shares" that are in the system. Due to counterfeited shares. i.e., naked-shorted, FTDs, etc., I would not be surprised if it were in the 5-6B range. In other words, close to 2X authorized and issued. I hope we get to find out...

This is a very accurate and complete description of what today's "market" really is. It's going to take several minor, and maybe one major, miracle for this to change. This fiasco is the reason why an individual's chance to making money can only happen through HODLing. Edit: (referring to this...

Yes. The act of using one of many “rules” to allow, essentially, cheating is not illegal. It is the manipulation by one individual or others in concert that is what is illegal. ( at least according to the SEC Act of 1938 ).. At that time the SEC, for the most part endeavored to do their job. For...

As usual, AD, you nailed it. absolutely the way the “market” rolls. Being 76 years old, no telling whether I’ll live to see the day but I hope and pray, these criminals will get what they deserve.

Farley and Barra are quickly realizing the near-impossible task ahead of them to compete in the EV world. My sincere hope is that the government does not throw a bunch of our money down the toilet by subsidizing their vain effort. No amount of money can save them. RIP.

I'd rather not continue the zero-sum-game however, when MMS and other criminal types are able to sell shares that don't exist and in essence, through eternal FTDs, never produce stock that has been sold to an unwitting buyer, isn't that by definition a non-zero-sum game, de facto?

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

A big part of that reason is rental car companies. Hertz has learned that Teslas are way less expensive to operate and maintain, not to mention when the Teslas are sold they will have driven as much as 2-3 times more miles than ICEs and will have a smaller degree of depreciation. I.e...

You must have missed the part about the Tesla Charging Network being spun off to existing shareholders, not "sold off" to others who don't have the steadfast commitment to service and quality that anything-Tesla possesses. My idea (and it's just an idea) would involve the continued management of...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I expected such an uninformed, simplistic response to the idea of a spinoff. Who said anything about losing the branded chargers? There is no reason why the spinoff company, made up of a majority of TSLA shareholders, can't be named Tesla Charging Network, Inc. Look up the history of Thermo...

Yes. I have repeatedly suggested this over the years. I think it would be a wise strategic, and profitable, move. Side benefit would be the sweet smell of burnt hair emanating from those trying to locate shares that don't yet exist ( I.,e., if shares in a new company would be distributed to TSLA...

Perhaps you are unaware. As several of us here have pointed out over the past few years, the actual mechanics of trading by the "insiders/entitled" (i.e.,The introduction of the Madoff exemption in the early 2000's and the repeal of the uptick rule in 2007) are the "legal" tools by which these...

Yeah. I heard you the first time. I actually am saying that you are a buy signal for any potential ARK investors. I don't need any encouragement or opinions of any sort concerning Tesla. From an overall perspective, I know more about TSLA than just about anyone on this board. GLTY.
