So after a whole bunch of work, here is my iteration on my orignal
design – a Mk 2 in essence....
You need to have read the “Proposed Model 3 concept clay model
(unofficial)” topic to get all the background to this thread!
Due to my working methods, I have to have a concept in my head and
I only see if it works when it is finally sprayed so this is far from
definitive. I have incorporated many of the helpful comments and some
further ideas. It is, however, only another interpretation of the
basic 'architecture' as detailed before.
Again I would be interested in (constructive!) comments..... I
have done it in red this time to try to show contrast better but it
made the photographs far more difficult and I'm not really happy with
them so bear with me on that score.
The main developments are:-
Climbing swage line running around the nose as well;
More front wheelarch definition;
Reduced bonnet slope (as commented on by a few) bigger frunk!;
More front definition/attitude;
Revised Tesla 'face' with a vestigal hint of the current MS/MX
faux grille;
Thinner and more sweeping headlights (bit Ferrari-esque);
Slightly increased wedge for the windows;
Developed rear end with reduced and tidied up diffuser;
Black cab accent (this is very optional and was tried to see how
it works – the roof could easily be colour coded as in the previous
model – which looks better? This is certainly eye-catching!);
Body creases on the front and rear wheel arches (mimics the MS at
the rear)
Front wheel arch vents in the wing panel with 'strake' design (bit
of 'aggression'?)
I would like to still change the following:-
Round the rear end in plan (as commented by others – it is too
flat) Would also benefit the look and operation of the diffuser.
Improve the front valance intake openings – touch of the Jag
F-Type maybe!
General detailing at the lower front
It still lacks detailing which would make a big difference!
Especially the lights which need to look like jewels. And finer
chromework around glazing; grilles; lights etc.
Making the Tesla face exquisite (and a work of art) would add a
lot. I would imagine the rear running lights to be LEDs around the
diffuser shape!!
That's all for now, folks! Comments welcome...........
Or complete with pepper-pot aero wheels................
Or the full Monty...............
