2015 Model S charge port door won’t open

You can pry it open; use a credit cart to avoid scratching the body finish. After Tesla service failed twice to fix the problem, I have a piece of Scotch tape sticking to the inside of the door and sticking out like a handle. (Mine only fails when it is hot out - tolerance is too tight somewhere.)

Do you keep Creep on or off?

OFF. Never used it on my first MS and now wonder how it would mesh with the holding brake.

Momentum dynamics claims 200kw wireless charging by end of year. Credible or crap?

Interesting yes. But we have 130,000 cars out there that could use the arm system. What will happen to us? ~Larry

    Deciding on air suspension

My first Model S had air suspension as does my second. I use the features regularly for other than performance - primarily for sloped drives and entries to parking lots and there is confidence on unfinished roads. Also, for me, there is the Gee Wizz factor. Wow! Springs are so yesterday. ~Larry

Tesla Model 3 vs Chevrolet Bolt Video Review

One thing I noticed, is that a Volt has anywhere from 5% to 16% higher MPGe than a Model S (depending on Model S). I wonder if the Bolt will also be higher MPGe, which does help avoid raising your electric bill to crazy levels. "... raising your electric bill to crazy levels ..." Is this an...

Use brakes to simulate regen, when regen is not at normal levels.

I second this suggestion. It is so rare that I do not have regen, it comes as a surprise when gone. So rare but as suggested the car should always act the same. Dump the power (somewhere) if the battery will not take it. ~Larry

    Last RWD Model S 85 ?

What will come first, the $35K Model 3 or a $35K Used Model S?

Will a Model 3 ever be offered at $35K? Oh, I hope so but the bottom will fall out from under the Model S. A used Model S will eventually reach $35K in any case. Mine charges to 255 miles. I think not a lot of mileage at 33,000. They offer only $49,000 for it. ~Larry

    Trade-In Experience

Hello Friends. I am trading in my 2014 Model S, with 33,000 miles, in great condition, needing tires soon. This car has Tech Package, Air Suspension but no Pano and no driver assist as it was not out when I bought it, fabric seats, 19" wheels. It is important I think that the car still charges...

85kWh removed should I change my confirmed configuration!?

I have the 85kWh, RWD going into production. The 90kWh appeals to me but I just got my "85KWATT" license plates. Can't abide putting them on a 90. Also, I don't want to give up the frunk space. So I'm staying with the 85kWh. ~Larry

85 kWh battery removed from design studio

Why anyone needs a car that does 155 mph or a roof rack good for 140 mph

Doing yard work and this guy walks by, asked how I like the car. "Love it" I said. He told me he is also an owner. "Yeah, I know. I see it go by." "No, the car is in Wales." He winters here with his daughter. But to the point, he said there is no speed limit in Wales, outside of town. He...

Auto parking -- steering while not moving is not ideal

15 years old, 1955 working in a gas station, some guy complained about the new "power steering" and that women drivers would grind the tires off turning while not moving. I guess that's still a problem. Give Tesla time. These features will be refined. ~Larry

    Supercharger - Buttonwillow, CA (10 V2 stalls)

I drove through there Thursday and gave a big smile and wave. Let me suggest this: A) northbound traffic will hit Tejon Ranch first, then Buttonwillow and southbound traffic will hit Buttonwillow first. B) people will be inclined to stop at the first charger C) much traffic leaves L.A. Friday...
