The new Toll Tags work in the Model S. The place that I put the Toll Tag is under the rear view mirror. I suspect that this is the best place.
TEXAS TollTag:
So the old (tan plastic) ones do not work, but the new (blue T sticker) passes do work? Is that what I am hearing?
I called TxTag. The blue on one side/grey on other square tag is only one they have. Will have to get external front license plate bar which is rather large for some reason.
Yup! Mine is not working either. I have five or six "gate" events which have not registered on my drive. I would assume (there is the painful pathlogical word) that if you register the car and the tag and the booth does not pick it up, you have done your due diligence and would not be "on-the-hook" for fines ... or am I confusing Texas with Utopia?
Maybe someone could try putting it behind the nosecone. Is there a way to test if your tag is working?
I got a response from the TxTag folks today regarding testing the tag. If you are in Austin, you can go to their store front at 12719 Burnet Road to verify that your tag is working properly.Maybe someone could try putting it behind the nosecone. Is there a way to test if your tag is working?
I saw that. The TxTag is a lot less bulky, it's basically a widshield sticker with an RFID chip. It looks like it could probably just be stuck to the back of the nosecone.
