Anyone have their car completed? Mine has been in production since 12/08 and no word on being completed. My DS said it was getting for delivery with a bunch of other Toronto cars, but my Tesla dashboard doesn't reflect that. When I asked why that was, he didn't respond back. It seemed a pat/general answer to me, rather than fact. So I don't know where my car really is in the process. It seems really unlikely to arrive for my scheduled pickup of 12/27.

If our cars are not on a truck by Saturday or Sunday and the drivers drive through the holidays, the 27th or 28th delivery days are probably not feasible. There are at least 4 of us as per the spreadsheet in the same situation.

Same deal here! In production since 11/27. According to DS, it was in final inspection 3-4 days ago. What the heck did they find? Maybe a bird's nest that they don't want to disturb until the eggs hatch?

As mentioned on the black hole thread - if anybody from Tesla is reading this, please check on this car (63012). I'm concerned that somebody took it for an unauthorized "coffee run", and that it's in a shipping container destined for Zimbabwe.

sigh I am trying to be patient but it's getting harder. My issue is not that I really need the car by the end of the year, I actually ask my DS if I can pick up the car the week after.
He kind of forced me to take delivery of Dec 28 and I ended up having to rent a storage unit to park the car for a week for my detailers to come back from their vacation.

Now if the car is delayed, I won't be happy. I will try to keep my patience for now though. *finger crossed*

A couple of DS have mentioned that cars are being sent via train to Chicago and then loaded onto trucks. So as long as our cars are done production, then I think there is a fair chance we'll have them by years end. Worst case, first few days in Jan.
One possible major hurdle is that there are several snow storms predicted for around the 25th- 27th around the Chicago-Toronto route... Right when our cars *might* be leaving Chicago.

Mine went into production Nov.24 and from what I understood I had been completely on track for my initial Dec.15 delivery date UNTIL the seats thing came up.

Heres to hoping we all end up getting our cars sooner than later.

Also if you haven't test driven one yet. DO IT! Awesome...

St. Lawrence is about 4 hours out of the way for me. :) I can wait until I have my own. I'm just really curious about WTF they're doing with these cars in inspection for all of this time. They must have come off of production the line in a heck of a rough state. It's not particularly confidence inspiring.

I'm right there with you... I doubt we'll ever actually find out what actually happened. As I posted elsewhere I think the initial completed cars may have just ended up at the 'back of the lot' and repairs started from the ones most recently completed. Thus a 'first in last out' scenario. Whatever the case may be, hopefully we'll soon all have our cars and this'll be a distant memory.

I've asked my DS about the status of my car. I emailed him yesterday (no response), and today (no response). My DS is lovely when he actually answers, but it's hit or miss whether he will actually respond to emails or voice mails. This experience has certainly not been a great one - frustrating and the customer service has, well, sucked. It should be, and could be, so much better. I'm sure the car will be great - but what a poor buying experience.

In defense of your DS, I think they've been absolutely inundated with phone calls and emails these last few weeks. The guy I've been dealing with is doing his absolute best, but I can tell that he's stretched pretty tight right now. It's not their fault that the factory has had some struggles with the new model, but they're the unfortunate recipients of our frustrations.

This time frame is only an estimate and is subject to change based on current production schedules and option availability. Please expect that this timing will shift to provide the most accurate estimate possible. Your delivery appointment will be confirmed by your Delivery Experience Specialist once your vehicle is fully assembled and en route to the nearest Tesla location for final inspection and preparation.

So yeah. There we have it.
After being the first Torontonian on our spreadsheet to go into production and currently at 26 days in production and counting, I get the above message this am (came up between 1am-7am).
I'll admit I am disappointed but hopefully it'll be here in the first few days of Jan.

I'd have to agree with Sandpiper, the DS is really in a jam being the frontline person but working with limited and often confusing data from the factory. Hopefully it'll all be a quickly fading memory... Maybe it'll even take just 3.2 seconds :)

As of last night, apparently our Toronto bound vehicles are still scheduled to arrive in the 27th time frame. I don't see how that will happen, as they seem to be in the death grip of somebody on the production line. Maybe they're planning on chartering a US military C5 Galaxy to bring them into Pearson.

So here is my faintest glimmer of hope.

Latest departure from Cali 23- get to Chicago via train by 24/25- trucked to Toronto by 26/27/28-prepped and delivered by new year (or the first few days in Jan).

Its likely a pipe dream, but hey that's all I've got!

The teslas are too heavy with batt pack, they will need the antonov 225 which actually happened to be at pearson a few weeks ago
