yeah why? Could go by carrier and encounter a hailstorm along the way or get into an accident (both of which I've read happened). Train might get it there faster with less chance for incident. ...now not trying to make your wait any more stressful LOL. I'm sure you'll be fine.
Honestly, for the reasons SMAlset mentioned, I'd be happy with train vs other methods. And it is reducing the overall cost of shipping to Tesla so kudos!
Could be a lot worse. Our first Tesla was on a car carrier that flipped in an ice storm in Nebraska along with eight others. Had to re-order a new one to be built.
Please. Many, many Teslas are sent by rail to a major distribution center, like Chicago, and then put on a truck to the ultimate destination. So, it experienced both. Mine did. I pick it up tomorrow.
I hate to break it to you but a large portion Teslas are shipped via train. All of the Teslas heading for the southeast get off a train at a shipping facility here in Birmingham, AL. They are then trucked to their destination. Think I'm lying: How long does it take to deliver by train from CA to GA | Tesla
