VAG is court ordered to supply money to EA for the dieselgate damages. They have no actual control over the company. The second that they have met their financial oblation, they will be a fart in the wind.
Again, other manufacturers don't own their primary charging network. They have plausible deniability by saying that "there was no way to know if it was the salvage car or the 3rd party charging network that caused the issue."
The main difference here is that if a wrecked Tahoe blows a poorly repaired fuel line at their neighborhood Citgo station and burns it down:
1) It would never make anything more than local news
2) The Citgo is not owned by GM.
As crappy as the salvage car issue with Tesla can be perceived, the...
Exactly. With every news outlet, short seller, and FUD troll looking for any piece of bad news to latch on, having some half ass repaired Tesla burn down a Supercharger location would be huge. The only caveat I can say is that there should be a real, permanent way to get a car recertified. A car...
So you sawzalled off a chunk of you steering wheel so you can see your tacked on screen better? When are you going to put a fan on top of the screen so you can reroute the AC airflow you have blocked with the screen?
He still posts on Twitter. His last tirade was how wind power caused the black out on Texas and then when that proved false, it was how wind power is a scam.
So tons of theoretical studies with extrapolated results and very little real world evidence. When you actually look at what people are seeing in degradation after 100k or more miles, these studies in their laboratory environments don't follow the actual evidence. Posting lab tests as the final...
There is zero proof of what you are saying. There absolutely is a buffer at the top and the bottom. If there was not, people would be bricking their batteries all the time. The only thing that causes wear on the batteries is the actual usage of it. How you charge it, especially on L1 & L2...
You cannot hurt your battery when the indicator on the screen says that your SOC is low. The threshold where battery damage can occur is far below where the car will turn off to protect itself.
I really hope there is going to be another location on the west side off of I-26. Between Greenville/Asheville, there is no convenient Superchager until Hardeeville if you are going south toward I-95/Florida.
