I think your reasoning makes a lot of sense. This is why i feel the 85 and 60 models available for CPO makes little sense when you can get a 70D brand new. I'd personally get a 70D over a RWD 80 for the AWD and Autopilot... If the difference after the rebates is less than $10K, definitely make sense to buy new.
For me, dual motor is a plus and autopilot is a HUGE plus. But my CPO is $25k less than what I'd pay new, and that is definitely worth giving up those two and my black headliner. As for range, I was looking at 85s prior to the 70D only b/c 85D on inventory weren't that widely available and S60 was too big a range drop and less of a discount b/c I had to add in Supercharging, plus the concern of the limited-range drivetrain warranty. When the 70D came out, I fully got that I was explicitly the intended audience -- people who would have been happy if the S60 has just a bit more to it, and were struggling with the cost of the 85/85D.
In the meantime, maybe when the 3 comes out, I can get that as our other car or trade in for a used autopilot SxxD.
