Well, Superchargers are only due next year, so why would they be employing staff in that direction? SC's are a whole separate ball game.

Im not sure. IMO it looks like the staffing required for a sales/service centre. I thought SCs were just on route charging stops like a gas station is to ICEs. No need for a detailer or parts advisor.

Sorry about the terrible long link in my previous post. I guess being a newby you can't edit it either.

This might be more helpful..

SEEK - Australias no. 1 jobs, employment, career and recruitment site

The positions advertised are:
Delivery Experience Specialist
Regional Delivery Manager
Electric Vehicle Charging Specialist
Service Concierge / Service Receptionist
Senior Automotive Vehicle Technician
Automotive Parts Advisor
Vehicle Detailer
Automotive Service Advisor
Workshop Foreman

I'm not local so I don't know what representation already exists, but I would say that the positions on Seek are a promising sign that Tesla are setting up a full-time permanent operation in Sydney.

Today was supposed to be the day, but given it's already 4pm in California I would say probably not today.
Given that Stone believes the first cars will be delivered end July, the only way i can see that happening now, would be if they fly the cars here. I have no idea how much something like would cost tho'. Did the first two cars in country come out that way? I think they might have.

I believe all the cars have been air-freighted and it would not surprise me if the first few cars for delivery were sent over in a similar way so that they can hold their unveiling event earlier. The cost isn't as bad as you'd think because the cars don't weigh that much, they just take up a lot of volume.
