More Info: Supercharging.Life database

This is a friendly contest for Tesla owners to track the number of unique public Superchargers where they have charged

- "Supercharger count" is the number of unique public Superchargers where you have charged (just being there does not count), whether or not you were the person plugging in the vehicle (such as a Valet Parking garage or a Passenger) and whether or not it was your own personal vehicle (such as a rental, a loaner, or a friend's Tesla) as long as you were the one who drove >50% of the distance to reach the charger(s).
- The list of chargers in the supercharging.life database are the ones included in the game. If you think one should be added or removed from the list, let us know.
- Only chargers available to the public without special permission are included in the game.
- Chargers not connected to the grid are not counted.
- Doublet locations like the North/South Supercharger 'pairs' in CT, ME, NH, etc. count as individual locations.
- More than 1 charger at the same address, such as Lenox Square Mall (Atlanta, GA) or Montgomery Mall (Bethesda, MD) count as individual locations when they appear as a separate location on the Tesla Nav screen.
- Inactive competitors will be archived and removed from the leaderboard. Just post an update to be reactivated.

See Supercharging.Life database for info on how to post your own visits to the database (preferred), or post your locations with date visited to this thread and one of the admins will update your list for you. All visits must be posted to this thread - not just entered in supercharging.life. If you are the first in the game to visit a supercharger location, please post to the thread as soon as you can so others know it has been visited.

After greeting Bighorn at Flemington, I hit Richard Stockton and did some errands in Princeton.

I haven't built any visualizations for firsts. Have you considered joining our Life360 group?
Thanks for they info. No, I haven't considered Life360. I don't have location services turned on for my phone for almost anything so wasn't eager to download an app that is solely a location tracking app.
I don't know how to do it on Tableau, but if you load the source spreadsheet at Superchargers Visited on your computer (seems to overload cell phones and tablets), switch to the Superchargers Visited tab, scroll to the right finding your name along the top, then scroll down looking for the bright green coloring, which highlights your visits that count as firsts.

Thanks a ton! Looks like my happy accident (a first in Brossard, QC) still stands.

A thought... as a number of us are preparing to head to Custer (I hit the road tonight... :)), it will be very much appreciated if the spreadsheet and visualizations derived from it remain stable. If we're looking to evolve beyond the google spreadsheet, which definitely agree is needed, it would be great to just focus on testing between now and the end of May, and not introduce any changes unless there is a high confidence it will result in a net significant improvement in platform stability.

I also want to take a moment to share my continued appreciation and awe for all those that provide for the care and feeding for the infrastructure that makes this game possible. THANK YOU!
I will have my laptop on the trip and can update the visualization anytime. We won't make any changes until after Custer for sure. It'll be a big change so we'll need to go slow.

No problem. I suspect many of us will be using life360 to connect in Custer. It you have suggestions on how to connect out there, just let me know. Some of us are using Signal and we could create a group chat there.

I've set up a private group on Signal where we can have a high-trust private chat area that doesn't require installing a tool like Life360 for those who are concerned about that or use the clunky message tools on TMC. If you have Signal installed, click the link below. If not, just install signal first. @Big Earl and I have set up the group to require approval so we can positively confirm we know who is in the group. Examples of how this channel could be useful: Dynamic coordination around meetups or requests for help if something happens on the road.

Again, the goal is high-trust and private.

Requested access. Not sure how much I’ll use it.

Awesome. Two ways to disable the sharing when you don't want to be highlighting your whereabouts. 1) "pause location sharing" within the app. 2) remove the permissions from Life360 to access location data. If you scroll through the list of users in our circle, you'll see people doing both strategies. The 1st is simple and allows you to access the messaging content. The second takes a couple of additional steps but prevents Life360 itself from pinging you for your location, which it does constantly, even if you aren't sharing that location to the circle.

I'll consider Life 360 for the Cuter trip. I do think it could be helpful for problems on the road!

I think I have the basics set up.

It works, I can see you on the map.

Actually (at least on my iPhone) I can still access the messaging stuff even with Location Services turned off for Life360.

Bruce.

PS. They call groups "circles" in this app. They could have picked a better name...it sounds too much like that novel (later movie) "The Circle" about this super-creepy company that's like a mish-mash of Google and Facebook.
