Not much change. Still no transformers. They have delivered some topsoil. All trenching has been repaved.

No idea why xfmers are slow only in San Antonio but not in other places in Texas

December checkin here to report nothing has happened since the last checkin.

The grass is looking nice, but still missing one key piece of the puzzle. Transformers seem to be a significant limiting factor.

So the fence was removed.

Several of the San Antonio area sites under construction have gotten their transformers recently, so we can hope!

The RIM supercharger location has its transformer, and that site location started and completed later than this one, so I would expect/hope the transformer shows up soon here.

Still no transformer and some of the asphalt around the electrical vault has been removed. Looks like reworking of the road repair.

You can see the empty transformer pad in that photo. It has the yellow bollards around it. When the electric company delivers the transformer they set it down right on that pad. The meter box is already mounted there.

With the hoards that will pass through San Antonio in April, for total eclipse viewing in the Hill Country, this SC is needed. Wish they’d get their act together. (Austin has about a dozen SCs, but S.A., a larger city, has three. )

There is a SC site behind Kirby’s Steakhouse by 1604 and Stone Oak Pkwy that is usually not super busy. We have a place at Lake LBJ and I stopped at the newer site in Johnson City today on my way up there - I think there were 8 chargers. I agree, the eclipse traffic is gonna be nuts in this entire area.

We have a place at Lake LBJ and I stopped at the newer site in Johnson City today on my way up there - I think there were 8 chargers. I agree, the eclipse traffic is gonna be nuts in this entire area.

That one has 15 chargers. And when I used it it was full and there was a wait. I had two cars in front of me. Fortunately my wait was less than a minute and I got full charging speed in spite of it being full. Weekends in SA are super busy around I-10.
