Service in Alaska

My wife and I really want a Tesla, but we're hesitant because we know nothing about service in Alaska.

I remember reading that a Ranger was visiting Anchorage from time to time. Tesla's website says that mobile service is available in the Anchorage area. Their careers webpage had a listing for a mobile service technician for Anchorage, but I see that it has been removed.

If you have knowledge/experience you can share it would be greatly appreciated.

PS: I've been reading a lot of posts. This is the first one I've written.

I had heard there are a fair number of Leafs (or is the Leaves?) in Juneau. Hadn't heard about the Model 3s. In Anchorage I have only seen two model 3s. Maybe I don't get out enough?

The Ranger who is occasionally serving Alaska was in Juneau and is currently in Anchorage. While not as convenient as being able to take your car to a service center, this does work. With more demand we might see a permanent solution. Additionally, Able Body in Anchorage has received their certification as a Tesla approved body shop.

It makes sense that there are more EVs in Juneau than Anchorage (per capita). The range issues are non-existent when you live on an "island."

Well heck, I was hoping to learn that we at least have a permanent Ranger in Anchorage. So can the Ranger do all repairs locally, or could there be some repairs that would require the car to be shipped Outside?

It's great about Able Body. They've done work for us.
