Tesla service & maintenance: the biggest difference with legacy car makers?

Tesla service may have handled OP’s problem with aplomb, but they can be completely useless and incompetent when it comes to the simplest of things: buying off-the-shelf parts.

They lost mine. No call. No email. No message. We show up and it’s simply, “can’t find them, make another appt.”

Idiots. Effing. Idiots.

Franchise model is to ensure money goes around.
The whole legacy dealership model is archaic. Needs to go.

Don't know about that, I have never waited 2 weeks for a service appt at any of the local dealers. Especially for a tire sensor. When *sugar* hits the fan its nice to have someone to bitch at.

My car has been flawless (Shanghai build), except the rear view mirror was never tightened enough. Tesla Service came to my house and fixed it in 3 minutes. Actually, the Service at my GM dealer was always perfect too. I felt sad leaving them to switch to Tesla and still do.
