No. Existing customers can upgrade. Brand new the 90 kWh pack will be $3,000 more than new 85 kWh was. No pricing specified for existing customer upgrade.

Question concerining handling: will there be any improvements in handling to take into account the performance?



Musk: handling is alreayd pretty good -- tires makes a big difference too. "We're able to do corners at 1g, which is pretty insane."

Certainly owners like me with an "old" A battery would be fools not to upgrade.

Surely the $3000 was referring to additional cost on a new car. I assume buying an upgrade pack for a 3 year old car would cost more.
