Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
After forgetting to do this for about 4 months, I finally checked and my 2015 P85D March 2015 build also has + suspension. The VIN in P78318 making it one of the highest P85D+ out there.
Yup, I had 19s on mine. As a somewhat related aside, I just switched over to 21"s (Arachnids) and I cannot believe the difference in cornering. I am not a hard driver by any means, but the few times I pushed a quick corner on my 19s vs. now is a considerable difference.
Anyone know if you can retrofit the plus suspension to a P100D? I ask because I love how the P85D+ handles, recently my service center has spoiled me with a P85D+ loaner
Hey guys so I picked up my ‘14 P85DL and it’s totally awesome, I love it, but the ride is a lot stiffer than I thought it would be. I’ve got the performance +. I’m running 19s, 245s all around with brand new Primacys... is there a simple mod to make it softer? Would running Super Sports make it less hard of a ride?
When I test drove it, it had super sports with 21s and it had a stiff ride but I thought running 19s would fix it, but it didnt make that much of a difference.
Run the tires with a few PSI less, Tesla fills them up way too much IMO. You can switch the car's settings to 21" if you want to go a lot lower than the TPMS will allow without alerts, but a few PSI won't trip them.

Find someone with a slightly later car and swap suspension with them. They get the BMW M car suspension they want and you get the softer ride you are looking for.

Update: after driving the + suspension on smooth curvy roads I'm starting to like the way it feels. It really feels connected to the road with very little body roll unlike my old E55 AMG---it's lightyears different/better handling despite weighing 800 lbs more.
Haha, thanks. I've my eyes focused on a swap into PS4s or PS A/S for a softer ride. I figure the ride can get better than the "green" primacy low roll resistance it has on now... Plus i'm due for a 50k service which includes an alignment says my SA so I met as well get the new tires before that.
Hey folks!! So I am picking up my March 2015 P85D in a couple days, and I don't know if it has the + suspension or not. The vin is ~72xxx so I know the PX00 indicator in the codes doesn't necessarily mean anything...
Part of the reason I'm having a hard time figuring it out, is because the car doesn't have the air suspension, which seems to be synonymous with the + upgrade at this time. Does anyone know if the coil suspension can have the + upgrade, and if so, how can I check? I know the part number in the wheel well is the only true indicator, but it seems to only be the air suspension people have mentioned.
Just found this thread thanks to all the posts! I have the + suspension too- 12/14 P85DL here. I guess I can stop babying it now, LOL. I have the 19” Goodyear A/S tires now and hate them. Is everyone still recommending the Hanooks for 19” as well?
