So Cal sunshine and no need for a sunshade thus far.
I've had my Model S for nearly 2 months now. Originally I thought I would definitely need a pano shade, since we live in Florida. My Lexus has a shade for it's sunroof and it's much needed. However, the Model S pano seems to not only block out glare, but heat as well. That's pretty amazing. I know it's winter. But this has been a warm winter for Florida. We've had many days in the mid 80s in January and February, which is unusual. I'm reserving my final opinion for June, but for now, I'm loving the pano without the shade.
When summer rolls around, owners in Florida, Texas, Arizona, and Nevada will have more feedback.

Thanks for the input. With summer coming here in the Nevada desert, I am getting a little impatient for my pano roof sunshade. Will start bugging my Product Specialist for real commitments.
Has Tesla ever committed to that sunshade? I don't recall reading/hearing anything about that.
That's only YOUR OPINION and I strongly and respectfully disagree. Not needed.
Sorry to disagree with the current majority, but living in Las Vegas, and having driven only Lexus, Mercedes, and BMW for 20 years, I expect a quality sunshade for both front and back pano panels, which block 100% of the light, and also provide a certain amount of thermal and noise insulation, like ALL the others provide.
If owners don't want it, they don't need to take the upgrade, but I expect and demand it.
So how do we apply some heat to get TM to make this a bit more of a priority?During the first few weeks I had the car the temperature was colder and I definitely noticed the top of my hairless head getting cold. This makes me very concerned about how much heat may end up being transferred the other way when it gets really hot out. I agree, I want one and they promised one, so I should get one. However, no one should be forced to take one.
To each there own. After driving the pano for 6+ months in the hot Arizona sun, we've had no concern about glare and very minimal heat penetration. If the MS had come with a shade, I would have removed it. My wife had been worried about both heat and glare before the purchase, but agrees that her concerns are not realized.
