I just did my annual detail and polish of my 2013 Model S. The condition of the car wasn't that bad, but it did have a few swirls and some random scratches. Most importantly, the coating I applied over a year ago was pretty thin and absent in some areas.
Wheels: PS21 wheel cleaner
Tires: Tuf Shine, Tar-X
Paint: decontamination with Tri-X and Iron-X, foam wash with Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss and Honeydew, final decontamination with Speedy Prep Towel (fine grade).
Compound: Menzerna FG400
Polish: Menzerna SF4000
Tools: Flex, Rupes 15, GG6 with 3.5 inch backing plate
Paint prep: Gtechniq Panel Wipe and 25% IPA.
Coatings: 22PLE VG1 Pro, Gtechniq EXOv2 and Gyeon Booster
Wheel coating: Hydro2
Tires: Gyeon
Had to fill in and wet sand a few chips...

Most of what I've learned is from autogeek online. That and practicing on my wife's car!

However, I want to know more about the back wall of your garage. Do you remember which brand/color you used to replicate Tesla red?

I think it's brighter than the real Tesla red, but I did my best to match it from the Tesla pantone http://www.pantone.com/pages/pantone/colorfinder.aspx?c_id=4190.

Anybody have a completely blacked out MS except the window chrome? I want to see how that looks for mine, haven't been able to find one like that anywhere.

Just had to say Mahalo for these shots. I'm midway through researching a 90D to possibly replace both my Lexus RX450h (been a hybrid owner since 1995) and MBZ SLK -- have been leaning towards pearl white as I've scanned photos the last couple weeks, and well, your photos grabbed me this morning. Having lived in Honolulu for nearly 11 years, Tantalus is one of those places I took all my friends when they were visiting when I played tour guide, and is a spot I still make sure I hit when I visit the islands. Thanks for the memories and nudge to make a decision...
