I don't think so. Way too few spots on that bar that can be customized.

Vendor 2021 Tesla Model S Long Range & Plaid Tesla Aftermarket Wheels Now Available!

The Tesla 21s are not 4500. They cost 4500 plus a set of 19s they don't give you. So you always have to consider this: if you go with 19s, you get an extra set of wheels, complete with tires, that you could sell, or sell the tires and use for winter tires if needed, or...

    About that "yoke" steering wheel

I don't think it is helpful to let people judge the handling and user interface of a car they haven't used, at all.

Round wheel won't help with no stalks.

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Is this sure? The only way to say these are LR would be to spot the absence of red calipers on every car. Or stitching and decor inside. The spoiler can be attached after transort, yet as delivery is about to happen.

    21” arachnid or 19” base

The decision also depends on what you drive in winter. If you have just one set of wheels... maybe one can / should / might get the 21s. They look great, but that's about it - there are both better and cheaper options on the market. If you have to drive 2 sets of wheels, as I do (winter tires...

So what makes a Plaid + worth $30k more than a Plaid? [Update: Plaid+ canceled]

    About that "yoke" steering wheel

Only a problem if you need to turn a certain angle at least. Less so if they reduced lock to lock turns needed.

20" Model X Slipstream Wheels on Model S

I change all 4 at once after 2 seasons (winter wheels in between). That is, 2x 20'000 km, equal to a little short of 30'000 miles with one set. Falken.

20" Model X Slipstream Wheels on Model S

I am glad to be from Switzerland, not Europe, then. Got the Model S in May 2015 and the 20 inch wheels on order. Driven like that ever since. Not Model X Tesla wheels, but similar dimensions. 20x9 et 35, 20x10 et 40, 245/40 r20, 275/35 r20 No rubbing. No problem.

2021 refresh Model S sightings, steering yoke vs. steering wheel discussion

The advantage of being able to see the dash screen better is exactly the same in the X. Free view, regarding both screens, as much screen real estate as possible. Funny you mention the far right corner in the Model 3, but cannot see the advantage of a yoke, regarding to this.

    New S: Yoke or Nope?

I want user reviews first (hey, you do, too), before starting to blame it and complaint. And a test drive. I STILL hope they changed the gearing. I can't imagine having to turn that thing around. 90 degrees is enough. (Yes, I know the roadster and cybrtrk videos showed differently. Still, I...

2015 P90DL Fan Behaviour (Please Save my Sanity)

I'll take one of these packs, too :) I know it, my car has (started to) do/done the same. Annoying. I'm in the lucky situation to use it 70% -> 40% on a normal day, and so haven't charged it over 70% anyways, on a day to day routine, to keep it around 50%. In summer, I have the charging limit...

2015 P90DL Fan Behaviour (Please Save my Sanity)

Does it occur while charging also? Keep below 78%. If you need the full charge for your trip, charge just before leaving. Means: time the charging in a way, it reaches 98, 99... percent as you're about to go. Charging, it won't "waste" energy - it'll start to do so, once charging has finished...

4K Cameras on new Model S?

This is no longer true. Bigger sensor: yes, of course. Lower pixel count/bigger pixels: no. Photographic Dynamic Range versus ISO Setting Compare any 2 reasonably "same generation" sensors of a make you are familiar with. Many Companies sell high and low pixel count models for different use...

4K Cameras on new Model S?

You still don't read what I say or simply refuse to accept what modern camera technique has achieved. Nothing wrong with my english, here. Pixel size is irrelevant for the low light capability of a sensor. Pixel density pixel size - both of course correlated on a given area - don't matter. The...
  29. 46&2

4K Cameras on new Model S?

I isn't, if you read carefully, again. Bigger sensor = bigger area collecting ligh= better low light performance More, therefore smaller, pixels on a given area = better capability of delivering higher image resolution Less, and bigger individual pixels on the same sensor ares = less...
  30. 46&2

4K Cameras on new Model S?

A larger sensor is good for low light. Number of pixels is irrelevant (mostly). Nothing else said.

4K Cameras on new Model S?

No. Not to dive too deep into photography tech, but, no. Low light performance is related to the absolute amount of light captured, not (mainly) to pixel size. Higher noise at pixel level evens out once scaled to the same resolution the other pixels, bigger to begin with, had. (Looking at the...

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

That quarter related thinking is an ongoing stupidity. As if it mattered, on the long term, whether a 'garanteed' profit is made on March 28th vs. April 3rd, or so. It would even be easier to declare a slighly bigger loss in the Model S/X departement, where everyone can see no cars have been...

    Ordered my MS Plaid

Yes you could buy a Tesla in brown, obsidian black, dark blue, dark green, silver, dolphin grey and titanium. All been discontinued. Edit: oh, plus "signature red", a bit darker than today's, also, and a "flat white", I think... - and maybe more I missed. Not counting the roadster's colors.

    About that "yoke" steering wheel

Might be the case - too bad, if you ask me, as it's some kind of weird. And, working like that, in deed ... strange, as people WILL grip where nothing is. As stated above, I'm not sure, neither way. I won't place bets on how it works. I just wanted to point out that nobody knows and we'll all...

    About that "yoke" steering wheel

I've seen, and mentioned here myself, these videos. Still, I just don't want to believe (accept ;) ) Tesla is going to do that with the yoke. So stupid. (I am with you: if it were that way, that would suck!) There was this article about the European authorities not having anything against a...

    About that "yoke" steering wheel

You still believe it will work that way, an idea your whole post is based on. No way the yoke should turn 180 degrees! I could always argue differently: - many cars exist with turn signal switches on the wheel - when about to exit a roundabout, and having a common wheel turned 90 degrees only...

Is the sound system in the refreshed Model S designed by Bose

Well, he's got that all wrong. BOSE is an acronym that stands for Buy other sound equipment and has been standing for that for ages ;) But then, they got rich by selling 4 little blare cubes and a shoebox "sub" that goes "down" to 200 Hz bass, all fine to clang in a dentist's practice ;) At...

    New 2021 Model S Unveiled January 27, 2021

Oh, I forgot to add: Infiniti did so years ago. Tripple systems/redundancy, mechanically operating fallback - it CAN be done. Not sure how people liked that one, I found mixed reviews. I hope Tesla can do a convincing job, years later.

    New 2021 Model S Unveiled January 27, 2021

Why? “Many cars already have a flattened steering wheel at the bottom. Not only does this make getting in easier, but it’s also easier to recognize which position the steering wheel is in. The tendency is that more and more vehicles will have rectangular steering wheels in the future. The...

New Model S second row changes [Update: Tesla incorrectly showed Model X renders on Model S page)

  49. 46&2

    New 2021 Model S Unveiled January 27, 2021

Most likely no. The new steering might go 90 degrees to the left and to the right, from full lock to full lock. Maybe a bit more. To be convenient, we expect it to be variable, somehow, and adjusting for speed. So a normal wheel will have to be turned much further, and you are MORE likely to...
