    PPF or no PPF

Have you considered using a ceramic coating instead (eg: Opti-Coat, etc....)? Not nearly as protective as film but will certainly help with some improved protection, less dirt/debris collection and improve the look of the car. I fully wrapped my first 2 Model S vehicles. I just received my new...

Thanks for the the link. Not sure how I didn't run across that thread previously..........I'll check it out!

    Model S Wake up Problems

I've seen quite a few issues with Model 3 wake up issues but haven't seen much lately about newer Model S builds (my car is only 6 months old......P100D) The past couple of days when I get up to leave in the morning my vehicle is veeeeeerrrrrryyyy slow to wake up. When I walk up to the car it...

    Show off your aftermarket wheels.

Gotcha.....thanks. I'm leaning towards the custom gloss black finish. I currently already have another set of wheels that are similar to the tinted version so want to mix things up a bit. Cant wait!

    Show off your aftermarket wheels.

Were these the regular "tinted gloss black" or did you get the custom color of "gloss black"...........they seem very similar to me on the Vossen website. I'm looking at the HF-1 model. Not sure if thats what you have on here but its similar. Looks great!

Which center console, Tesla or EVAnnex?

After having the nice open yacht floor space between the front seats for the past 3 years. I can't imagine going back. Just personal preference but I now have less clutter in the vehicle and really enjoy the open space.

The dreaded "door handle won't present."

Just had this happen. Currently leasing so still under warranty. It happened Monday morning and they were at my house fixing it for me Thursday morning. I'm 3+ hours away from service center so ranger service took care of it. I've had 3 issues over 3 years and their responsiveness and service...

These look sick! Considering 21" for white model S. Really a great look!

    Great Milford CT experience

Its nice to hear stories like this. The bad experiences seem to garner much more attention (and sometimes they should) but I have to say that my experiences with the SC in Eden Prairie, MN and in Council Bluffs, NE have been absolutely excellent. I've worked with both and literally everyone I've...

    expel install

I also did a full body installation and have not regretted it at all. Was a great decision and also saved me twice over the past year from agressive door dings on the back passenger panel. It really looks fantastic. If you want to take it up another level you could add a layer of CQuartz over...

    Seats ticking?

I've started noticing the "ticking" sounds as well lately. One thing I noticed is that when I applied pressure to my yacht floor it seemed to help a bit. My yacht floor has never fit exactly "right" (known issue) and recently tried to have that looked at during my annual service. It appeared to...

I'm going to have to switch to aftermarket 20" wheels

I agree with fluxemag above. 20" wheels are the way to go. Its the perfect compromise and they just look "right" in the wheel well with a much better sidewall compared to the 21". I'm in South Dakota and put my 19" wheels back on over the winter which is working nice but it certainly doesn't...

Next Gen Seat Heaters - Worthless

To be honest I'm surprised this is even an issue. I've lived in South Dakota my whole life where the winters can get pretty awful. I've had numerous vehicles with heated seats over the years and my P85D heated seats work just as well as anything else I've owned. Is there a heat consistency...

These look great. As soon as they are back in stock I plan on ordering! Great work!

    Installing Xpel around CF spoiler

Well, to finish things up with this thread the install went great. The spoiler came off without a hitch although they did mention that there is some time of "epoxy-like" material used to attached the spoiler and not just a simple adhesive tape product. Nevertheless, it came off fine and the...

Best Aftermarket 20" Wheels Similar to Turbines

I agree, I haven't seen much in the way of 20inch turbines. I have had my Tesla now for about a month and I wanted to get 20 inch wheels as well. I ended up going with the Vossen CVT 20 inch rims. The pictures online really doesn't do the wheels justice. I've had multiple compliments on the...

    LED license plate lights

I also agree that the AO bulbs are great and were easy to install.............just as advertised!

    Installing Xpel around CF spoiler

Well, I pushed a little harder with my guys and they agreed to go ahead and remove the spoiler to install the Xpel. He texted me back a little while later and let me know that is was easier to remove than they thought it would be and they had no issues with it at all. So I'll be getting my...

    Installing Xpel around CF spoiler

I really appreciate all of the input from people who have done this themselves. I'll certainly talk to them again and see if they are willing to try and remove the spoiler. I'm already a little worried since they are shying away from it. The seam itself isn't that big of a deal but the seam on...

What Swag did Tesla give you at delivery?

They delivered the car to my house and I got a nice wave from the delivery driver as they drove away. Didn't even get a fob cover. Fobs were still in their packing plastic bags.

    Installing Xpel around CF spoiler

Fezzik Yeah, I was wondering if they could do this. It seems like it would be somewhat difficult but possible. - - - Updated - - - I was considering this as well but I'd rather have someone with some kind of experience do it if possible.

    Installing Xpel around CF spoiler

Thanks for the input guys I appreciate it. I've seen some of the posts in regards to the fishing line and heat gun technique and I plan on discussing that with them. I think this is coming down to the service people just being overly nervous/cautious about trying it. I think my "worst" case...

    Installing Xpel around CF spoiler

Has anybody had any issues with getting this done? The people I'm using were very hesitant to remove the spoiler as they were worried about it cracking and/or breaking during removal. I ended up having two pieces of Xpel put on the trunk panel with a seam radiating out laterally from the edge of...

Anyone with a "D" model and 20" aftermarket wheels?

I'm in the same boat and have heard mixed things. I was originally looking at going with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires but its looks like about 50% of people experience some rubbing when turning all the way. Personally, I'll be going with the Continentals for my summer tires.

    Leasing - Tint and Opti-Coat

I haven't heard of any. I'm planning on doing pretty much the same thing. I'm also leaning towards painting the lower panels. Not sure if that will mess with the lease or not but I'm just gonna see how it goes I think.
  29. E

How do painted lower panels stand up?

Thanks for the input, I appreciated it. I'll most likely be going ahead with it............its just looks too good to not get it done!

How do painted lower panels stand up?

I've seen multiple posts/threads on TMC on members having the lower panels on their Model S painted/wrapped. I really do like the look of this and I'm considering having this done once my new P85D arrives. I've been talking to a few local bodyshops and a couple of them have been very hesitant to...
