In his 1-on-1 interview videos he does much, much better. I think, like with a great many people, public speaking just doesn't come naturally. I didn't mean to criticize when I noted it earlier, more sympathize/empathize.Public speaking is not one of Elon's strengths. Every video I watch of him he sounds like that.

No wonder it was hard to find info on him, he might want to lay low. His company, CarrierIQ, was in the news about 7 months ago, where the reports were that his company's software, which is on just about every smartphone, was tracking location history and keystrokes:
