How to contact corporate? That is frustrating beyond belief. Have you tried calling corporate? They were much more helpful vs. dealing with the local people.

On with them now, they said that the Plaid in inventory is coming right out of production and would take 2 weeks, plus would have to go to Dallas to get it. They can’t change it to Austin. 2 weeks is 3/9 which is the start of my EDD. Don’t know if $15,500 more is worth it for such a small time difference. You can just do that in the app.
That's just crazy talk.I wonder if getting a demo may have advantages because any kinks have been worked out at the showroom by Tesla.
Dang, what were your reasons for rejecting?Just a data point. A MSLR UR 21” Walnut that I rejected early November 2023 currently sits as a demo car in Austin, TX (after sitting months as Inventory car). Literally bumped into it in a parking lot. Checked VIN. No fixes visible compared to what I rejected back then.
Post in thread 'Model S Delivery Update'Dang, what were your reasons for rejecting?
I doubt it. They are the same car, just different motors. Thanks for the reply.
Is the MSLR more reliable than the MSP? It seems like more of the issues reported here are related to the MSP, but that may not be factual.
I uploaded my insurance on my current car as proof of insurance. They want me to provide proof of insurance before they schedule a delivery date. My insurance does not provide proof of insurance for future vehicles and I'm not about to put a car on my policy not knowing when I'll be getting it. Anyone with a similar issue?
3.Looking for advice - should I:
1. Purchase a August 2023 demo Model S LR (is quality more known for demos because service has worked out any issues?)
2. Buy a 2024 Model S LR and hope the EPA issues clear in time to transfer FSD by the end of March
3. Pony up for a 2024 Model S Plaid (are there more reliability concerns with Plaid?)
Range is valuable to me because I live in a cold climate and have a long commute. I also value quality / no problems.
I have a 2018 Model S 100D that I LOVE.
Thank you for your thoughts!
Why do you reject the car?Just a data point. A MSLR UR 21” Walnut that I rejected early November 2023 currently sits as a demo car in Austin, TX (after sitting months as Inventory car). Literally bumped into it in a parking lot. Checked VIN. No fixes visible compared to what I rejected back then.
Small difference?????On with them now, they said that the Plaid in inventory is coming right out of production and would take 2 weeks, plus would have to go to Dallas to get it. 888-518-3752. Spoke with someone that got me squared away. Local SA eas useless. How to contact corporate?
Yes, but hold doesn't affect Plaid, so you can pick up.Just visited my service center in Dublin. I have a VIN and a delivery appointment on March 1st. Apparently the car is built and in inventory (Model S Plaid). Via text, I’ve been told the EPA issue could stretch through 3/7 or 3/8.
Does that sound about right to y’all?
Ar first, Dublin insisted there was no hold. I wouldn't be surprised if they think the msp is in hold even though it's only the mslr.Just visited my service center in Dublin. I considered buying that exact car but didn't because I want the 19" wheels.Just a data point. I think you should get one in each color! So went to the store and this is the fourth time I will be changing colors now I want my original stealth grey back but the advisor is telling me that will push out the delivery date.the more they make me wait I am flip flopping on the color
Yep, my EDD is 3/9-3/31…wouldn’t get the Plaid until 3/9 at the earliest…so likely not worth it.Small difference?????
